Yeah, but it’s ancient history. I’m convinced that 2015 wild card game where Jake Arrieta shut us out is the last Pirates playoff game I’ll ever see. So any changes to playoff structure mean nothing to me.

The crazier part is that the team with the second best record in baseball could be one and done. Not that I know what that’s like or anything.

Them, and St. Louis. Still trying to figure out what to make of them, winning 17 straight and getting rewarded with an away wild-card game against a 100 win team.

Snow maps result in a lot of disappointment mostly.

Hundreds. I would imagine most days in DJF have at least one clown range GFS run with digital snowfall. You know, 20 and snowy on one run then 55 and sunny the next.

Just a quick reminder that today is the day that two clown range GFS model runs predicted a PA snowfall a couple weeks back.

It’d be fine if above normal September/October weren’t something that happens basically all the time anymore, and doesn’t necessarily translate to a cold winter.

My understanding (as a relative newbie) is that they did away with the political forum and it all migrated to OT.

Central PA is incredibly civil. Yeah, you see hints of strife when anyone mentions covid or masks or vaccines, but there are hundreds of pages of entirely civil discussion around weather, sports, or various other topics in between.

Place is a cesspool, and I’ve made contributions to said cesspool but there’s an addiction factor, unfortunately. You’re a good person and a good wx poster whom I respect, and I would never foul a weather thread with anything that goes on in that subforum.

I don’t agree with it either, but that is what the GFS showed. Put it this way, I reached 70 a total of 8 times last October, in a relatively average October, and we all know your climo is slightly warmer.

I’d wager money that I reach 70 at least 10 more times from Oct. 1 through the end of the year.
