  1. walked down to the field whiteout with howling winds....took the kids, couldn't see 200ish feet anywhere in the field, kind of surreal....
  2. any thoughts when this winds down? Radar just keeps pivoting precip into New Haven and Fairfield counties...
  3. cleared the board at 7.5", came inside and and it was almost 6" My stratus was filled and shaved off....that is 12" deep. It is just dumping snow out there still
  4. I am still waiting for that dry slot, but it keeps filling in...sort of like a hose pointed right at New Haven and Fairfield counties!
  5. 10+ inches, not really sure at this point...finding a protected spot is hard, the wind is just whipping! Awesome outside! Lets do another 6 inches at least....
  6. Pouring snow...almost 6 inches now
  7. Visibility down to 1/4 mile finally...wind has picked up dramatically too. 4ish inches now and piling up
  8. What a difference a few miles makes, only 2.4" here as of a few minutes ago, we have spots where the grass is still showing, the wind could be doing it, looks great but sucks to measure....we haven't had "heavy" snow yet, great snow growth though. Think that huge band along long island makes it up here? That will definitely put us in the upper end if it does
  9. Hope so, we need a morale booster after last season....radar looking much better now
  10. I'm not sure we see sleet down in this area until the dry slot pushes through...so it may not be showing much on those numbers anyway
  11. 23° with 1.7" of new snow....breezy with some light snow at the moment. Watching the radar become a piece of swiss cheese right over my head...bust? Lol Still expecting around a foot here regardless
  12. 21.4°/5° with heavy virga, an occasional flurry flying but that is all....Hoping for 8-12 inches around here, anything over that would be a positive bust Good Luck to all!!!
  13. Days and days and days? Might accumulate 1-3 inches over 2 days....
  14. This whole system feels like there are going to be some surprises good and bad that will be nowcasted and not forecasted using the models...There is so many moving parts, creating pretty big changes run to run, especially being this close. Philly over to Lancaster has had quite the flip flops over the past 12-24 hours
  15. Yup, the best storms are when you keep increasing numbers during the storm
  16. Just saw that, if that low shifts just 25 miles to the east....has 2 feet near DXR by Tuesday morning
  17. Maybe not a shift, maybe an expansion? So we can all sort of enjoy?
  18. Sounds good...would love to see that pivot area shift a bit to the east at 12z/18z. I worry that 6-10 hour burst underwhelms then we go over to sleet and freezing drizzle with some snow showers and 33 on Tuesday. I am still expecting the last minute NE tick that usually screws us, hopefully it helps us the time
  19. Might have to up the call to 12-18, but prefer to wait until the king speaks at 0z and 6z to confirm the trends are real
  20. We looked terrible until the 12z Nam....since then everything has increased for us, hope it doesn't continue to shift too much, still a good 36 house to go
  21. Best look for us from that model so far....I like where we stand right now.
  22. Music to my ears....I was born and raised in Lancaster, Pa...seeing the Canadians doing what they have been doing makes me want to go visit some family the next couple of days, but between covid and well likely 30+ inches isnt happening there, I stay put and hope for the shift NE
  23. might be the highest Euro number for us here in the SWCT region...looking Namish
  24. 8-12 sounds good for us, for now....we can adjust as we get within 24 hours...18" is my max since we moved in 2014, looks to remain that way.
