    Keeps me frozen until the last 3-5 hours, not sure I believe it being that cold down here. Probably 33° for most of the event, besides a few pellets at the start.....

    The blocking in Greenland just sets up shop right through the New Year. The question is, is it believable? Lots of blocking in the North pole region as well, looks great as of now....but we have seen this story before

    My lowest temp at this house since I moved in was -3.5 last December. I need a second thermometer on my deck to see the temp difference, probably a few degrees

    I have a 4 year old Davis Vantage Pro 2 wireless mounted 5.5ft off the ground. It just so happens to be attached to a post on my garden at the bottom of the property....I can't help that my property sits in a valley with sandy soil, lol. One things for sure, my heating bill doesn't think it is fake cold.

    0.7" here with light snow still falling....beautiful outside, despite being under 1 inch. Can't wait for more....

    Nice burst of snow earlier put down 0.1" and now a steady snow has developed with the blossoming precip to the west. Maybe the first inch incoming? 31.3⁰

    RGEM looks marginally better.....general 1-2 for most of SNE

    It will probably end up where most of the US besides the NW and NE "bake" for December standards...We will find a way to be much "cooler" relatively speaking, not sure that means snow, but definitely not what the rest of the states will see. End of the GEFS still shows some promise, might be a rough 2-3 week period. Rather have it now than in January

    I agree totally, I have seen way too many of these storms dismissed in the mid range only to come back in the short term. Especially recently for what ever reason that might be....

    I guess a good question when learning from this is why was the GFS so bad while the rest did "better". Still3 days out so I guess the GFS could end up correct, but that ship has at least sailed for the time being....

    One of these models are going to face plant hard really soon, sadly it always seems to be the GFS that stumbles hard in the 4th quarter. But it is a new season, so who knows...

    looks like a nice shift north on the Icon, but not sure I believe anything with that model other than maybe trends....
