  1. Temp up to 30.0⁰ after a low of 6.6⁰, everything glazed over with a few sleet pellets mixing in...
  2. Wife woke me up at 130 this morning...Did you hear that loud popping sound? I see the low got down to 6.6⁰ right around that time, definitely the deck. Was it 2017 when the ground was cracking around here?
  3. Sheesh, 7.0⁰ in this pit already.....where are the clouds? LOL
  4. Wait until next week....Actually 14.7⁰ of fake cold here already
  5. My deck is south facing, down to 3 inches already. However the yard is still between 6 and 7. I wish it would melt faster on my solar panels. I definitely do not need a glacier forming on those....
  6. Just finished melting my core from today.... 0.46" L.E. 7.5" of new snow
  7. @4Seasons 7.5 inches of fluff here in Western Southbury Sun is out now, but the wind is picking up
  8. Just to the west now of the heaviest echoes, still snowing heavily though. Quick measurement on the deck 3.75" Good luck to those in Central CT, going to jackpot there it seems
  9. Been under this band for an hour or so, eyeballing 2 inches so far....hopefully more of a northerly component to the movement or it is flurries for me..27.0⁰
  10. We are going to get a foot of snow now....just got my booster shot today, I will end up stuck inside leaving all the work to my 8 and 10 year old, Lol
  11. I made this comment yesterday and will continue to have this worry for us west of the river on this particular storm....still thinking 1-3 around here, hope I am wrong though
  12. I guess I worry a bit about getting stuck between the precip west of us and the low taking too long to develop to our SE. The progressive flow is going to leave someone stuck in between the handoff. I have noticed that happening over the years I have lived here in CT, until you get east of the river out towards RI where the coastal precip takes over...
  13. 1-3 for most of SNE, 3-5 SE areas...anyone gets under some banding might see 5 or 6 inches but most likely the highest totals in southern Delaware, again...
  14. The Reggie did very well at picking up the extended freezing rain this morning. Most models either had very little precip or 33 and rain...
  15. 31.9⁰, just about there...what a disaster. Hope to see some snow on Friday, no more of this please.
  16. Still 28.8⁰....Finally got a town truck down the road
  17. There was, clearly the towns and CDOT didn't prepare. 84 is shutdown from basically Danbury to Waterbury...
  18. It's a disaster out there...just taking the dog out was an adventure. It is pouring at 24.7⁰. Instantly freezing
  19. I like how the Nam is pulling moisture up from way down in the Caribbean and the Gulf at 57 hr.....always a good sign for an out of control 18z run, unless of course it fumbles the handoff
  20. I think 30 inches is a good over/under number right now....2015/2016 was my lowest snow total since moving here in 2014, I had around 36 inches that year. If it weren't for getting some goods from the blizzard, that year would have been terrible. Hard to think this year could be worse.
  21. I love frozen mole hills all over my yard. Smashed knee caps on all of the kids 5 years and younger....14.2⁰ this morning with a stiff wind, just a bit chilly. First time the sun has been out in full since December 27th, a nice change at least. I think we are skunked out here, E of the river for this one...
  22. and I will see even less cirrus here...brutal year so far, looks like the rich get richer down in Delaware. They might get more snow in a week than they have had in the past 5 years.
  23. signs of some cold air on the Euro, sub zero for most of New England at the end of the run....
