  1. Weeklies tonight? If they are anything like the EPS this afternoon, I bet there will be some ratter calls later this evening.....
  2. Had some pretty strong winds yesterday morning, but nothing out of the ordinary. We ended up with 3.60" of rain though, it feels like the middle of spring, after the first real thaw. Everywhere you walk, you sink 3 inches into the mud, time to cover up with some snow now....
  3. 1.98 inches and counting, 61/61....feels quite nice out there
  4. And just like that the FV3 says no snow for you on Christmas eve, but I will give you rain....
  5. If I saw 3-5 inches being forecasted near Christmas, I would have not guessed it would be rain, yuck......
  6. GEFS at 384, but it has begun to look a bit like the weeklies.....
  7. I lived in Middletown, DE at the time...I measured between 24-28 inches for this storm and most of it was gone by Christmas.....
  8. Good to know, hopefully they can fix the bugs before go time....
  9. Figured, can't they create another GFS that would be between the 2?
  10. Assuming the FV3 has a better handle on thermals, it is snowier than the old GFS...fwi
  11. NAMs still want to dynamically cool the column late Sunday in the interior. 1025+mb continuing to build in seems to be helping a bit....
  12. I wonder if we see a couple SWFEs coming up in the "new" pattern?
  13. New EURO OP has almost a 50/50 split with AN and AOB...the rest of the country is above...Snow is still not very likely but the chances are still there at least. I was hoping to save some oil during this 10-15 day period, but that is not looking as likely now...
  14. Easy there, I am about 3 miles south of 84....can't we just say I-95?
  15. Borderline light snow and 25 degrees....didn't take long to coat most surfaces. Radar actually looks pretty good for today, at least down here.
  16. The dewpoint drop is impressive at the end of the run....we need the dgex to show us the goods
  17. Hopefully it has disrupted the tick cycle...I swear the April cold + rainy summer helped out this summer. Ticks were not an issue for most of the warm season (Easter-Memorial Day was pretty bad though)
  18. Battle brewing between GFS and its son....if my memory is correct, I believe the FV3 was too far south for the November 15th storm in the 3-5 day period. Just something to keep an eye on as we head further into winter...
  19. I'm sure I will be eating these words come next week, but watch the GFS be right and we snow a few times during this garbage pattern. Especially since we just got horribly unlucky over the past couple weeks.
  20. Today makes it 7 straight days with highs in the 30s and lows in the teens. Pretty impressive despite having bare ground. The ice cube the ground is currently mimicking must be acting like a fresh snowfall....
  21. Most of Canada is flushed of cold as well. One would assume even when it is reshuffled, it is going to take a good week to rebuild some of the cold. It wouldn't surprise me if it doesn't take until closer to New Years to get "better"...
  22. It is the 18z run of the nam which is like the GFS at 384, but it looked like fun at the time...
  23. Not trying to stir the pot or anything, but the NAM did look like it was trying for the 60 yard hail mary?
