It clearly has that band developing to the west of that low, if that low is 100ish miles to the east, then it sits right over CT, probably has the right idea of some sort of awesome snow band, but exact location is TBD...
Reggie with the CT hole for 2 runs in a row now....it thinks we "roast" while NJ gets buried, it also thinks that low stalls on the Jersey shore, not sure it actually does that
Nam maxes my temp out tomorrow morning at 33 degrees and has been showing that getting slightly cooler each run....wonder if we are starting to see a cooling surface temp on the models, especially the torchy 12k nam...not going to help with snow here, but would definitely keep what frozen we get on the front end around before the second round starts....
Since everyone is asking and I see you as the snow guru around here, thoughts on this weird snow hole over SWCT? Seems to have been showing up over the past 36 hrs, is this just the models not being able to see the subsistence zones?
That was ugly for a while...If it was 6-12 hours out I would have been more worried, but there was no way that look was going to hold for 24+ hours....can we say 6-10?
Happy Birthday! May we all bust on the high side! 20.4° here, clouds are now rolling in... Perfectly clear calm night to maximize cooling, now locking in the the temps with some clouds.
ouch, no kidding.....just yesterday we were dancing with 12+ on the Euro, now we can't even crack 6 inches...We might need to enjoy our 2-4 tomorrow afternoon.
really warm at the surface, raining everywhere except Litchfield county....either the models are missing the colder surface temps or they are picking up on the warm ocean/sound temps being so early in the season
