  1. THe newer half of my neighborhood can get FIOS....that is 2 houses down from me. :-(
  2. North Carroll Middle? My mother retired from there last year right before Covid hit. I'm very glad that she decided to retire since she is 76 and doesn't need the stress. My wife has been back in a Catholic school in Ellicott City since September 5 days a week. She was extremely worried at first and does get concerned, but thankfully she has been safe. She did get the first shot a few weeks ago and is scheduled to get the second one next week. We let our kids choose if they went back to the Hybrid Model at South Carroll and they both decided to. Unfortunately, My 10th grade daughter tested positive after the last game of basketball 2/14. We understood the risks and she has recovered from a very slight case. Thankfully nobody else in the house has had any symptoms since we have been homebound for the past 2 weeks. The kids and wife go back to school next week when quarantine is up and we will still all wear our masks until restrictions have eased and respect others choices. I agree with a lot of points made here this evening, but most of all I just wished that we could all respect the fact the each and every one of us has differing opinions, and that is not a bad thing. What is a bad thing is when we don't respect (not agree) others ability to have a differing opinion if it is different. If more people in general just stopped being so stubborn, this world would be such a nicer place to live.
  3. I had to read this twice. My first thought after reading was a bunch of kindergardners sitting there fingerpainting the March weather models.
  4. Being from the northern part of Maryland, anything past Fredericksburg is southern Virginia to me :-)
  5. My daughter has a softball tournament in southern Virginia in July. When we booked the hotel, i didn't pay much attention to where is actually was being that we are still 5 months away. We just received conformation from the hotel we have booked - "Residence Inn Short Pump at the Notch" I'll let you all know what Short Pump is all about when we get back.
  6. Isn't 70 closed as well westbound to New Market?
  7. I'm watching the white asteroids fall like a plinko disk as they hit the branches of the tree in my front yard.
  8. Had to be January. I had two of my first three weeks of a new semester at college cancelled. I also remember the snow, sleet ice.....so thick that I couldn't break through either.
  9. I do know that is it's just the combo of both services just sending out their forecasts and it looking very ugly on a map but it is just amazing that they don't collaborate on these forecasts at some point.
  10. I really love the invisible barrier otherwise known as the Mason Dixon Line which seems to depict a massive cold air dam.....
  11. I went to School with a few Friends who lived on your hill. Used to hang out there a lot. Fun area to ride bikes all day and explore the woods. It's a great place to raise kids!
  12. Dropping flakes the size of silver dollars now. The plow just went through les than a minute ago and the road instantly caved again. Just under 3" here.
  13. East Frederick County getting some returns now and just lightly snowing here again.
  14. I have an 83 Nolan Ryan card I sent to the Astros and he signed it and sent it back. Need to look through my boxed of old cards and find it.
  15. Honestly, I haven't started yet. I've seen a lot of gameplay footage online and it looks great. Seems to be taking more of a Witcher/Elder Scrolls approach in character building. THe last few have moved this way. I enjoyed them, but thought that when there wasn't too much into building your character, they were maybe a little better.
  16. i just went back to the witcher 3. Need to get through the new Assassins Creed on the New Xbox too.
  17. FI was an amazing Album. I remember the goosebumps I got listening to it the first time at 5:00 am on the day it came out. I went to ta2 targets and got the last copy of the CD they had in stock....they only had 2 and I was there with another guy looking for it. APC is also amazing. A different side of Maynard, but the ensemble cast is great. Pushier is more eclectic, but a good listen too. I love Maiden and Priest too. Never seen them, but Both Rob Halford and Bruce Dickinson are probably two of the best rock vocalists ever.
  18. I know...the number of timing changes they make int hat song is crazy. I'm assuming that you have seen the video of Danny Carey playing Pneuma Live in Concert?
  19. SOAD just released 2 more songs to support the situation over in Armenia. You ever hear any of their side projects? Serj's solo music is also really good and Daron's band Scars on Broadway rocks.
