    We are 4 months removed from the August microburst that put a bunch of trees into houses in my neighborhood. Of the three closest to me that were severely hit, none of the houses are occupied and only one has had any restoration work done. I wonder if it is just a general, slow insurance process or if the labor and materials shortages in construction are hampering the work.

    That's exactly it. If teams had an uncontrolled outbreak due to non-vaccination, they would have to forfeit. However, this is mostly among the vaccinated so they are adjusting on the fly.

    There are locations in MN that have snow on the ground and are under a moderate risk per SPC. That is wild.

    Yup, and the funny thing is that I’m usually the one pointing that out to others. And it was all for naught anyway, since we did grab the 70 after the afternoon climo report.

    If anyone wondered whether there was a correlation between a dry Nov/Dec (<3" precip) and the winter snowfall...there is not. DCA's average is 15" and median is 11.6" in those cases, which is pretty close to the average.

    Record stays at 69. Remains 9 calendar days with records <70.

    Record high at DCA. At least 70 (maybe, saw from Ian’s Twitter that it was a 5 minute ob). Only 8 calendar days at DCA now have high temp records in the 60s.
