    The level of run to run change in the long range is a reminder that when we finally do get something decent, it won't show up until within 5 days. I'm just happy to see some form of winter type pattern. Now we just wait for something to hopefully pop

    You really think Twitter was any good before him?? All those media outlets have always been a sewer. I'd think some would thank him for finally helping them realize it. I seriously never found any useful weather info (or other) on there ever. If it was, it was drown out by hype generating forecasters.

    I was just thinking the exact same thing. Over these many years I've realized I've drawn mental images of all of you via posts and emojis. Some rocket scientist types sipping fine booze in the McMansion, and others 40 something and living in moms basement... and everything in between

    Exactly... that's why I said it looks different. Doesn't mean net snow, but it comes across as a better pattern than what showed yesterday. Lets hope it keeps up and maybe something pops

    There were many a year when our New Year's weekend season kickoff just couldn't happen in Far Northern Vermont because they're simply wasn't enough snow EDIT: Or any snow, unless you were up on the top of Jay Peak

    True, however what some here fail to understand is the further you go in the future the harder timing becomes... and should be looked at with a grain of salt. Expecting a prognostication to hold past a couple weeks ( being EXTREMELY generous right there) and not change is foolish, but fun to discuss. Some just get too wrapped up in it

    Very true, I've discussed that with my Eversource contacts about wind direction and failures. It isn't all the same for every area but it makes sence. We are lucky enough to have our own grid in Westfield and they are amazing at quick restorations. I'm sure you're right about the wet ground playing a role, we were just talking about that here
