  1. Driving home early today, I couldn't help but think that this had a nice small accumulation event written all over it if it had happened 5-6 weeks from now.
  2. I like the idea, but let's be real...about six people would do all the talking while the rest of us either don't know what we're talking about or are socially awkward enough to just remain quiet.
  3. It's forecast to be quite below normal this week based on 1981-2010 averages.
  4. Had one a couple weeks ago. Had a distinct sherry-like quality to it. It was also a lot thinner than I expected, but it’s definitely a good beer.
  5. @Scraff, what’s with all the Tree House? Bastidge…
  6. The ignore function is the best.
  7. Snuggle up next to the dumpster fire and you'll be all good.
  8. It's easier to have a full-torch winter than one that's generally mild with cold shots that don't produce. It's the hope that kills ya...
  9. Interesting. Jeff B...by the way, I don't want you to think I was calling you out or anything. I just found it interesting that your totals were significantly higher than those reported on here and in CoCoRaHs. I wonder if the issue that EJ mentioned affected your measurements.
  10. I think this is a really good breakdown of how the areas outside of the highest elevations would be relatively hindered. We'd need a system that bombs and stalls at just the right spot to pull in cold air from a fresh, frigid airmass to our north (this happens in our long-duration monsters). Even then, the storm would eventually occlude unless there were some sort of moisture and energy fetch from the tropics to keep it going. The likelihood of these two things happening in tandem is incredibly low, though I *suppose* it's possible.
  11. You sure? That seems a bit high given the reports from the rest of the region and in your general area.
  12. Man…it’s getting pretty rumbly up in here (Burke).
  13. November 1995 saw 3.6" of snow at Dulles. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  14. Roads are uncaving and I can see trees in the distance. Fail.
  15. I also like the mention of how it could disrupt the morning commute.
  16. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not clicking links to images via ibb.com (not like I'd understand what they're showing anyway).
  17. You only realized that now?
  18. It sucked, much like 2011-2012. Maybe we luck into another 2019-2020.
  19. 2001-2002 is firmly in my list of analogs.
  20. It's not just you. I feel the same.
  21. I really don't think this is happening. Plenty of players who have made the jump to Europe from MLS are in the squad, so that represents MLS quite well, in my opinion.
