  1. Ok .... Just enjoy what's about to happen. You were saying just a day ago that you would be surprised if we even saw .5" of rain. Man.. you've become jaded. Lol
  2. Yeah, as I mentioned, does look at this point like we can get some mixing in with some snow Thursday night into Friday and Saturday. Very sporadic but the idea of seeing some is pretty cool. I think the Berkshires in Vermont have a better chance of seeing some accumulation from this Friday into Saturday, not a blockbuster at this point. Maine, but you may be more on the side of the rain the way the storms rolling up, but you guys always get that cold air drawing in as a the storm goes by. I guess we'll know better by Tuesday, Wednesday
  3. The good news is we're going to see some beneficial rain. An inch plus maybe. But they're talking about some mixing with snow, possibly Thursday night into Friday morning. Nothing that's going to accumulate, but it's kind of cool to hear the chances of Snow mixing in
  4. Well if it does bump North enough, and moves the cold front through, we can still get a good dowsing of rain from the front, and something that may be music to your ears..... it could give us some gusty winds
  5. About as good as your gut last year whenever you called for 4"-8" of Snow. You were always so sure?
  6. I agree..... Let's at least get the precip regardless of the type it is.
  7. I'm sure there's someone in this forum who thinks otherwise ....... Lol
  8. And you more than anyone else should know that 5 days from now will not be the outcome. I know that systems in the past several weeks have dried out when they've reached us. But this is a whole different circumstance. We haven't had something like this coming at us for quite some time. Keep the faith
  9. So, since you're so confident that this won't happen. What are your thoughts? Are we not going to see rain at all for the rest of the winter? Is it going to stay warm for the majority of the winter? Enquiring minds want to know
  10. I'm really hope you are wrong. Something has to give. We need the precip real bad!
  11. So is this source a reliable source? I haven't looked at their forecast before, but I also am in North central Connecticut.
  12. Lol... Well you're not because we're in 2024. Different year, different time, and it's not going to be identical to last year. Can't wait till we have our first snow event, you'll be the first one on that wagon calling for 4"-8".
  13. Lol.... Didn't you say you were staying above freezing through Thanksgiving? Fake news!!! ;-)
  14. There's some really good signs of it coming in here the week of Thanksgiving. But God forbid I post anything as it I always get a baffled look from DIT. Lol
  15. So a few things. As far as the colder mornings go, I have a feeling that even Kev will get down below freezing for Wednesday morning. Looks like the entire state's going to be cold. The other thing to mention as I watching Bob maxon this morning. He was talking about the pattern and how it's going to be changing in the next few weeks ( which was refreshing ). He also mentioned that there's been some good signs that the pattern's going to change going into the week of Thanksgiving ( he also mentioned that he feels a 70° temperatures are done). Looking forward to it!
  16. Maybe something's wrong with you temperature gauge? I know you are up in elevation... But it seems most everyone is in the 20's this am?
  17. Not saying you're wrong... But I always use caution when looking at things like ... More acorns, or fatter Squirrels, or any of these kinds of Natures signs ... ( Although I did notice 2 of our squirrels lounging in bikinis sipping on Margueritas) ;-)
