  1. Forget about thermals, even the track at this point is useless. The models are all over the place with where it's going to go
  2. The odds are typically against the NAM ( One compared to the GFS or Euro ).. but the way this winter season has gone, who knows.
  3. We shouldn't get too concerned or tied up with what's happening with the models today or last night. I think what we're seeing is there's going to be some fluctuations. Today is Thursday. Is this coming next Monday night into Tuesday. A very good signal is there that it will be snow. But it is going to fluctuate on what totals it will show. We have some time. I think we'll know more by Sunday on what exactly we're going to see as far as totals go and what area see the most. But this is the best signal we've seen all winter for southern New England at least.
  4. But the season's over. Same old same old. Pattern's not going to change. That's what you've been doing over and over again the last couple of weeks. I'm not here to call you out, just reminding you what you've been saying. Trust me.... I would still like one big event before this winter's over, But if we don't get it, it'll be fine. There's always next year
  5. C'mon .. all of you should know better. It's Tuesday. There will be more fluctuations with this. Not saying it's gonna be a hit... But to make a call after this run is hilarious ( and so are the personality flip flops )
  6. You gotta love some people Tippy ... They are frustrated and need to throw blame at whomever they feel at that moment. Although some of your wording might need a look up here and there...lol.... I appreciate all the time and effort you put into your posts.
  7. There was one on the outside of my mother-in-law's windshield today when we left the house. Crazy
  8. You know those guys are lurking, as well as TT. Looking for their opening like a eagle in the sky. Lol
  9. Yeah... Just bright my dogs out. Wow it's cold.
  10. Btw... WSW are the big island of Hawaii. Granted it's up 12,000 ft, but they're getting a couple of feet of snow. Just saying lol
  11. I swear, you must have fallen on your head somewhere and never recovered fully ... lol You mean to tell me you wouldn't care if we had an intense ice storm which would break or kill trees and bushes, bring down wires, possibly do damage to homes... I will send it all to your house. You can have all of that. I'll take snow and I'll take sleet.. I do not want ice
  12. I'm so confused about this weather pattern. There's been so much talk of change which hasn't come about. The forecast for next week. Keep flip-flopping back and forth. It's just hard to know what's actually going to happen in latter part of next week.
  13. First of all man, I'm not neurotic myself. Secondly, what's up with your holier than thou attitude. . I just made an observation of what I saw. Listen man, come down off your " hot " seat. Lol. Plus, kind of rude the comments you're saying about these guys that I was referring to. They're not a run of a mill weather enthusiasts. Not sure why you think your word is "God " so to speak.
  14. Not on this one. For two of the three major channels here in Connecticut in the Hartford area, again two of them have it on the colder and winter side. The one has it at 60° which is so different than the other two. Two. Anyway, it's not normal. Yes, I've seen differences from one to the next but not this extreme. We shall see what happens
  15. So I just saw the oddest thing. I just so happened to flip through the three different stations here in Connecticut for the weather. Both WTNH and WVIT are calling for temperatures in the upper 30s to low 40s from next Wednesday on. They both show chances of mix or snow and/or rain... something wintry. Wfsb however Shows temperatures next Thursday at 60? Something seems off. It just seems way odd like they're almost taking this week and putting it into next week. I almost feel like they made a mistake lol
  16. So here's my biggest complaint if you'd like to call it that. There's a few METs I will always respect ( and trust ). What I don't understand is how wrong they have been with using the global models when predicting what's going to take place within a week's time. Again, it's not them per say, it's just that they use these global models which give us a prediction of a change and as we get closer, it goes back to what it had been, is warm ( this has happened a lot this year ) then colder and snow are your solutions. Just wipe themselves clean as we get closer. All I'm saying is the global models that they use to help predict the weather have just been so off that it takes their credibility somewhat away from forecasting. I just don't remember seeing this in years past being this bad ( for almost the entire season ). Crazy
  17. I'm sorry.. aren't the models both showing a snow event for mid to late next week?
  18. Okay, have you talked yourself into it enough that winter is over? I feel like you just keep trying to talk yourself into it, but you're still not 100% there lol.
  19. I definitely had my moment! But now... I have succumbed to the fact that this Winter might be one of the worst Winters yet. The good news is, we can't get any worse next year ( I hope ). Today's weather is amazing... No way to not enjoy it.
  20. I was looking at Somers Connecticut at the time... Had about 15 in of snow. It was a good storm, remember the ride home was crazy.
