  1. And now we are down to 33.2 and Snow... Starting to get a slight slushy accumulation on the rails. So I dropped over 5 degrees over the last few hours.
  2. Don't freak out. I don't think I put too much stock into it at this last moment.
  3. Whereabouts in Central CT? Just trying to gauge who's getting what close to where I am. I know Wolfie is the next town over from me and Kev is tomorrow east
  4. And in just under 10 minutes it is dropped another degree to 35.2.... very wet snow falling out
  5. Kind of snowy wet mix. However, the temperature was 38.4 an hour ago and it's already 36.3 now. So it's dropping
  6. Well as of right now... Our local Mets are calling for temperatures in the upper 50s for next Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday with rain. So right now that's what I'm going to go with in my head. If anything changes from that, all the better. I'd rather be surprised than disappointed.
  7. Well, I think I will be excited in Holland. Ryan just mentioned that if the temperature drops an extra degree or so for the higher hills in Tolland area, they could pick up More than the 2 to 4 in that is forecasted and to keep an eye on it
  8. Man... You are such a putz. Your negative Sally doesn't seem to have anything good to say but complain. This isn't anger, just truth.
  9. Still a little surprised that they don't have Litchfield and Hartford county in the winter weather advisory. I can understand right in the valley by the river. The snow not sticking as well, but just west of Hartford. When you get into the hills, we should definitely do better, at least be in the advisory category. I'm about 550 ft up, there's plenty of places higher than me around here. I guess we'll see if they put them up later on this afternoon
  10. I'm wondering if they're going to throw up some winter weather advisories for Litchfield Hartford talon in Windham counties?
  11. My thoughts looking at this is that we'll start seeing all that cold air shifting East a day or so later. So there's that ( let's hope )
  12. I wouldn't write December off completely. Although as a whole it's not looking great, there are some opportunities for Winter. And who knows.. there just may be something right around Christmas. Like everyone else on here, I'm just as disappointed on how things are turning out as a whole for this month, but there's no control from any of us on forecasting what we see on the models as we're kind of at their Mercy on how the pattern itself is going.
  13. Snowing here.... Have a coating of Snow and another round happening now
  14. I'm laughing at all the insanity that's already beginning. This is why people get exhausted before we even get to January.
  15. Still ok. Still calling for 1"-4" for you, me, WW...mix along the shore
  16. Ok... Now you are being sarcastic There are two camps here, pessimistic and optimistic. I think that's what the friction has been all about. There's no one person who's right or wrong. When the models show one thing, the optimistic side of people will either say this could change or hey, this is looking great. The pessimistic people would say, I told you so, or it's going to change back to something that we don't like. That's the difference we have here. With all that said, I think everyone is on the same page. I think we all want to see a better setup this winter than we did the last few. Our chances are good to have a better setup in general. And even for this month, with things going back to a milder pattern ( in the most recent runs ) but it doesn't mean we can't see snow, it just makes it a bit harder. Lastly, as with any weather pattern, things could abruptly switch back to a colder pattern again but whatever happens happens. There's just some of us who like to take that dagger and dig it and twist in as it seems to give them some sort of twisted satisfaction. As with life, let's just move forward. We're just one step closer to having something Great!
  17. Q.... What is today's date? Oh . It's December 1st. That's Snow that New York got was definitely a gift ( and an early one at that ). Why don't you go join hands with forkey fork and Allsnow and you guys can all sing kumbaya
  18. Give it up man. Your being passive aggressive with the purpose of trying to stir the pot is a low blow. Either be a part of the discussion with constructive criticism or stick a FORK in it.
  19. So we don't know if this will happen for sure, but, did you fall and hit your head hard? If this comes to fruition this is a good thing ( And I believe seeing the above normal temperatures in the Arctic is what displaces the cold air South.... Remember, the Arctics temperature averages at this time of the year are extremely cold, so if they're going to be warmer than normal, they're still cold. It just displaces some of their cold air southward, no? ). But, humor me. What's your thinking?
  20. I'm sure this will not be the final outcome...but, there's a storm A-Brewin!!
  21. Come on man, what you're saying is the 14th is going to pan out where the others won't. I'm not saying that the two snow events have petered out on the latest model run, but doesn't mean they won't come back, nor does it mean that we're getting a big rainstorm on the 14. It could happen, but nothing 's written in stone
  22. Huh??? Winter doesn't end until March 21st. Unless something changed and I missed it.
  23. December is a start of winter. Yes, but climatologically, it's not considered a snowy month. Also, Mark should be considered a snowy month. Yes, The daylight hours get longer and the Sun angle gets stronger, but we get some good snows in March and have had good snows in March, so why you're writing that off is beyond main Also your comment ww... Are you delusional or something. Seriously, you posted that it was going to be a warm first half of December, you kept talking about it and saying to everyone stop believing that we'll get cold. Cold. And what happened, we're opposite of what you said. You're not being realistic, your being combative. I'm trying to keep this thing civil and discuss things like adults. It's supposed to be a forum to discuss what is upcoming. And yes, we can have opinions on our thoughts of what we think might happen and they may not be the same. But you and a few others really like to stir the pot. Let's just move on and enjoy what's happening and look forward to what could happen. We have zero control over what actually happens, we can only look at what the models show for the future engage what we think might happen. Let's do that instead of attack each other. Isn't that why we come in here?
  24. Look.. I'm not sure why there is a bunch of you guys who have been knocking down what we are already seeing. Ok, we may not get that blockbuster Snowstorm during this period, but we are cold ( And you and several others have jumped all over us who've said that the cold is coming ). I think everybody in here wants the same thing, well pretty much everyone. But, we are in December and it's an iffy month for Southern New England and Mid-Atlantic when it comes to big snows. Plus, there's always that possibility of a surprise where we don't see a storm on the maps until less than a week out.... It has happened before. Point is, I think you guys tend to want to knock down the cold or snow because you don't want to get yourselves too excited about something just to be let down. Trust me, we all feel the same way. Just ride the ride. Have more beer and enjoy it, that should do the trick.
