  1. You poor thing, you must hate living in New Jersey. It almost never snows there. That sucks.
  2. So early I made a point that it's not going to be as warm next week as it was originally forecasted. Monday night and into Tuesday morning could have some mixed precipitation in the interior. Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday for sure will be rain in Southern New England. Maybe Northern New England can get something Frozen. But there was a little talk this morning that Wednesday night into Thursday morning there could be a change back to snow in parts of Southern New England. Nothing crazy, but again, a change from what they were showing several days back. We shall see
  3. So, A few pages back someone attached a link to a video of these two guys, Joe and Joe, talking about the pattern and what they see happening at the end of the month into January. It seems really positive and they gave some really good feedback and reasons why they feel the pattern is going to get into a phase 7. So there's some really good and positive news moving forward towards the end of the month. It was a little bit long but it was well worth the watch.
  4. And we would do the same if The tables were turned man. I myself would definitely be happy for you if you're getting something and we're not. I'm not going to stomp my feet and get angry and make sarcastic remarks because of it. Anyway, I truly hope that you get something amazing, and it would be even better if it's a longer stretch of something amazing. The season is just getting going, and this isn't last year. So all we can do is hope that we'll get a good change in the pattern and most of us see a really good stretch of good old-fashioned winter.
  5. Then honestly man, take a break from this discussion. Maybe that's what you need. Trust me, I get bothered by what's happening too. But in the end, we don't have any say in what happens. It's not up to us. Being angry and taking that anger out on here with the comments that you make doesn't add anything constructive to the discussion.... ( And I'm not here to attack you either ), I just want to discuss what's going on with the weather and what things are coming in the upcoming weeks.
  6. I don't think that's a problem for people who know how to stay level headed. I myself I'm not wearing rose colored glasses, I see what's going on with the pattern and it sucks. But they'll be a change at some point. However, I'm not attacking others with negative comments. That's not the way I roll. Why don't you just take a break. You don't seem happy to be here anyway.
  7. I get it. And I get it sucks. But to be sarcastic, and just make a lot of childish comments. Maybe he should just take a break. I for one I'm not going to be sarcastic or start making comments and having tantrums for something we can't control. He needs to get a grip
  8. You poor Little man. Just because it's not going your way doesn't mean you have to answer with sarcasm. There is such a thing called weather therapy. Let me know if you need the hotline
  9. It's going to be mild, but the real warm up that was originally forecast for Wednesday has come down several degrees
  10. Man, I totally get you. I used to let the same s*** happen to me. But I finally stopped and said none of us have control over what Mother nature is going to do. So just go with what happens. It does make things a lot less difficult when they don't go the way we hope. Whatever you do, don't stop your passion. We all have that same passion, and it's not worth tossing it aside just because it's not going the way we hope because of model discrepancies that happen. As far as next week goes, more than likely four for southern areas, it's not going to trend in a way that's good enough to change to a wintry setup. But, there's a possibility that Central and Northern areas could get enough of a change in model runs where it could become more wintry. It's worth keeping an eye on.
  11. That's crazy, and when these squalls and the front comes through, they're calling for 45 to 50 mph winds. Plan on a bunch more limbs and trees coming down later.
  12. Ha!!! Coming from you, this should be a lesson learned..... Just kidding lol. But in all seriousness, you were one of the ones that kept beating the drum on what wasn't going to happen. I think the point that some of us made before to you, is that things can change and apparently here they did. It could just as easily go the other way ( and that will probably happen as well at some point ). I would just take this as a learning experience that anything can happen ( as you now are saying ) instead of shooting down anything that's brought up on possible winter type scenarios ( in relation to what the models are showing ).
  13. Same here. We had a 2-hour delay but just got a text. They closed the schools in Plainville now. Just going out of my driveway and I'm surprised that how much The roads are covered here. Completely covered even being plowed. Crazy. Overachiever in this area for sure!
  14. Lolol..... Funny thing is, it's December 5th. Winter officially starts in 2 and 1/2 Weeks ( okay meteorological winter started December 1st ), The point is, a few of you are making it sound like this is the only thing we're going to get this winter. Don't get me wrong, this is great and all, but slow your roll, we got plenty of time to go. Just enjoy what we have at the moment.
  15. Going to hit the sack, but the temp is now down to 32.7 and the Snow is sticking to the grass and starting to stick to the deck. I guess we'll see what happens when I get up in the morning ( My daughter is hoping for a delay, we'll see ).
  16. And now we are down to 33.2 and Snow... Starting to get a slight slushy accumulation on the rails. So I dropped over 5 degrees over the last few hours.
  17. Don't freak out. I don't think I put too much stock into it at this last moment.
  18. Whereabouts in Central CT? Just trying to gauge who's getting what close to where I am. I know Wolfie is the next town over from me and Kev is tomorrow east
  19. And in just under 10 minutes it is dropped another degree to 35.2.... very wet snow falling out
  20. Kind of snowy wet mix. However, the temperature was 38.4 an hour ago and it's already 36.3 now. So it's dropping
  21. Well as of right now... Our local Mets are calling for temperatures in the upper 50s for next Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday with rain. So right now that's what I'm going to go with in my head. If anything changes from that, all the better. I'd rather be surprised than disappointed.
  22. Well, I think I will be excited in Holland. Ryan just mentioned that if the temperature drops an extra degree or so for the higher hills in Tolland area, they could pick up More than the 2 to 4 in that is forecasted and to keep an eye on it
