  1. I’ll take whatever I can. Even if I have to drive! But seriously this was amazing today.
  2. Today was absolutely a top five east coast ski days of my life! Went back to catamount and the snow was insane. Base had about 18 inches and up at the top 24-28. If you are sad in NYC seriously just drive up to the Berkshires. It is a true winter wonderland. Even the Hudson Valley was slammed. This weekend is setting up to be a great one up north and in the Catskills. It may have been a horrible winter in the city and immediate metro but close by this March has been a miracle so far.
  3. Still snowing up here in Putnam County. This is one of our longer duration storms in awhile! Loving it!
  4. Still snowing up here in Patterson. Looks great and certainly one of the most wintry days of the year! Let's make sure we start this a little earlier next year, okay?
  5. If this has been February we would have had 24+ easily. It is still coming down. Up to about 5 inches of heavy concrete.
  6. I thought we would too but the change over happened very late.
  7. I’d say we have about 4 inches now so just hit the low end of what the warning stated yesterday. Then they bumped it to 6-12.
  8. Just tried to shovel… nope. It is straight concrete. I’ll just wait for it to melt.
  9. Have about two inches here in Patterson. Very heavy wet stuff. Took longer to change over so finally accumulations will likely be below 7 inches. Power outages are increasing too.
  10. Damn that would be 14-18 by me. I think that’s a bit high but I guess we will see tomorrow!
  11. Unfortunately we don’t have the elevation for that of warmth prevails. Tack on another 5k in elevation and that could be the case. But it is pretty cool how Belleayre will now have had over 100 inches this season with this storm despite how god awful the winter was for most of us. Catamount did not get as lucky most of the year compared to the Catskills
  12. Just got back from catamount and it was snowing pretty good most of the day at the summit. Snow was pretty good. Halfway down it gets a little slushy but still fun conditions. I do think they will get the snow that they are modeled for. Once you get away from the coast this looks pretty good. If Metro North is running the wassaic branch tomorrow board a train and come on up. Mountains were snow capped!
  13. Mixed snow and rain here in Patterson. Heading up to Catamount to ski for the day. Forecasting now 4-12 inches with the warning. Big difference from the 8-16 yesterday.
  14. Up in Patterson, NY. Not far from Thunder Ridge.
  15. And yet this would still give the vast majority of the northern part of the subforum their largest snowfall of the year. This winter has been atrocious, so just accept any snow at this point. Sorry it doesn't look good for the city, but I'm honestly glad I moved further away this past year.
  16. It never was a blockbuster for the city. Get out of here. This was always a higher elevation and northern storm. This is not “over”. Take the train to Wassaic or Poughkeepsie
  17. Naw we’ll be skiing until mid April in the Catskills. So far March has been a better month than January.
  18. Yes but I mean even with the more eastern models still looking good. Gonna be a great ski week!
  19. Catskills really look good on just about ever model. Incredible for there.
  20. I would offer our guest room to those that want to see snow but it is claimed this week. Taking my son skiing a few times this week too. This is the perfect week for his “spring” break.
  21. Still looks good north of 287 and definitely 84.
  22. Can we stop with the whole if NYC gets nothing this is a nothing storm? There are parts of the sub forum that will have quite a bit of snow. If it doesn’t snow in your neighborhood hop on a metro north train and go to the snow. It really isn’t that hard. I get that we all want something big but it is mid March and it is hard to do something big surrounded by water. Still looks pretty impressive for the mountains and upstate.
  23. Depends on a lot of things. There are verification scores available but usually the Euro is a strong model. I’m North of 84 so I do think this has a good shot for me. The past two weeks have also felt the most wintry of the whole winter. Very odd. January was just awful though for winter.
