I think this winter is the winter that we just don't get lucky at all in my woods. I'll come back to this post and expose myself in a few weeks if we get a HECS.

Even with this cold pattern change we could still end up with barely anything this winter if the storm tracks are always north and just cold rain here. When was the last time that my area had much below normal snowfall despite it being cold and stormy because of a northerly track and having incredibly bad luck timing it right?

I won't mind a changeover as long as I get some good snow TV with at least some accumulation before then

One thing is for sure: The pattern will change sometime this week, and it will possibly get quite cold along with many snow chances. This looks like a 3-4 week deal and done.

Currently 18 with a DP of 9. Today's date is Jan 24th. We just so happened to get a monster -EPO in just the right place along with a transient HL block and modest 50/50 low. Should start out as pixie dust and then start ripping at 16 degrees. So much for a punted winter. MBY is expecting a foot and a half of cold powder. Everyone is happy except for DT who's getting 33 and rain

Charleston, WV will hit almost 80 degrees today. Logan WV going to hit close to 80 as well. Logan WV is where i stayed for the second half of my four-wheeling trip back in July.

Just saw on another thread that weather.us has a reanalysis for past storms. Now I can go see what the radar looked like on February 5, 2010!
