  1. Up at Canaan Valley doing some cross country skiing at Whitegrass. 31 and moderate snow after lots of misty rain most of the day
  2. Ravens won! Now allow me to interrupt with a snow on hay bail wintery scene. I can't remember such a deep winter feel down here in Charlottesville. We've been so damn snow and cold starved in the mid Atlantic that this feels like a true gift from God. Public reminder to enjoy what we have. Cheers
  3. It will be virga for two hours or more until the DPs come up...book it. Happened last storm as well and drove me nuts!
  4. Let the man break out "folks" whenever the hell he damn well pleases! Ha
  5. Just went on a Jebwalk and have an overwhelming warmth and happiness settling in....or it might just be the Old Grandad bourbon, whatever, doesn't matter. About one inch near the CHO airport in northern Albemarle county. Trust me folks, it's coming your way. It's been a long time and I want to thank the amazing posters in this forum. Btw, can we give an honorary award to @Jebman for being THE most awesome mid Atlantic snow cheerleader ever?
  6. Yes sir, finally getting light snow near Cho airport...bring it home baby!
  7. I can confirm we haven't had anything reach the ground yet just north of Charlottesville. I'm sweating it but cold Helles are helping me keep calm
  8. We are gonna get demolished but I can confirm it's been all virga up to this point in northern Albemarle county.
  9. I prefer the gradient to be from approximately Shot Pump down to the hell pits of Charlotte, being that I live in Charlottesville. Here's to hoping we can all score a solid winter storm (or three) worthy of a Jeb walk and a few brews along the way!
  10. Sleet in Charlottesville after showing snow on radar, but all virga, before
  11. Skied at Palisades Tahoe on May 9 for the first time ever. Surprisingly, conditions were still pretty great! Just unbelievable.
  12. I love that you love seeing it dump in the Sierras. I'm going to Tahoe the first week of May for work and plan to spend a day or two spring skiing at Palisades... looks like they'll be running well into late May at least! I've never been out there so really looking forward to it. Unbelievable
  13. I may have an opportunity to go to Tahoe in early May for a work meeting and am thinking I'll see how the skiing is at Palisades. I think they stay open through freaking July! Just unreal
  14. While winter in northern parts of the forum has been decent, it has sucked pretty royally in central VA (I'm in CHO). What is most depressing is the lack of confidence the models and weekly products produced this winter, and how gun-shy it has made all of us. Tough to believe the tools we have until things line up right with correlation. Oh well, there's always beer to drink.
  15. I want to will this thing selfishly down to Charlottesville since we have been in the screw zone perpetually all "winter", ha
  16. Maybe this new water science finding will be inserted into our atmospheric dynamics models and allow them to spit out 15 back to back to back HECS by February 14. https://www.earth.com/news/water-molecule-discovery-will-force-textbooks-to-be-rewritten/
  17. You're not kidding! The LR definitely looks more interesting tonight. God willing man
  18. Ripping it pretty good down here in Charlottesville.... approaching 3 inches. Hopefully these green bands will persist and pummel us all, ha
  19. Just need to slant stick that just a smidge more.... you're soooo close!
  20. @brooklynwx99 I believe you were honking on this period first. Let's all hope and pray this one is real.
