    Round 2 underway. Expecting to be slightly underwhelmed, but holding out hope we can achieve our 4th 6” storm of the season.

    Waiting on round two to ramp up. Looks like things have shifted south a bit and I’m now on the far northern edge of the heavier snow. 4-7” of additional accumulation expected across the metro.

    This project will never be done. They are doing a deep underground storm water storage system similar to what Chicago attempted with the big dig. over an inch of new snow so far today. Cotton-balls falling

    33 and light rain/drizzle here. 6-10” forecast later this afternoon and tonight. Certainly been a MN/IA winter so far. Might push 40” on the season after all is said and done with this system.

    NWS going bullish with snow totals, and I can’t blame them. Model trends certainly in our favor up here. Going to be a nowcast event, someone will get screwed.

    Should be a nice prolonged light snow event here to refresh our slowly diminishing snowpack.

    Another day of dense fog and a dab of snow throughout the day. Snowpack holding strong at 8” with temps busting low today. Didn’t break 19F

    Around sunrise the past two mornings in the endless dense fog we’ve been experiencing light snow develops and has producing a dusting to 0.2” Probably a great setup for cloud seeding.

    That month produced 39” here. It was epic.

    Received 2.5” in Minneapolis which puts us at 30.4” on the season with a current snow depth of 8-9”

    8.7” of snow at the airport and 0.48” liquid equivalent. comes out to an 18-1 ratio but it’s probably even higher considering a solid 0.1-0.15” fell as rain.

    -4F outside and calm the morning after. Driveway cleared, it sure is a lot easier to push then the slop we got in October and November.

    Final storm total of 8.7” here. Not sure how anyone was able to accurately measure. Current temp of -2F our first foray below zero of the season.

    The dog wanted to turn around before I did. Walking to the nearby Lake Nokomis you have a large open area to feel to full effects of the wind.

    Shoveled the walk to the garage, impossible to know true depth but 6" seems reasonably conservative at this point. 11F NW22G44MPH visibility 1/4

    Front shot. As you can see roads are completely snow packed. Shoveled the front walk and sidewalk a few minutes prior and already drifting back over.

    Just went out on a walk. Brutal conditions with significant drifting even in the middle of a major urban area. Hard to tell how much we've received but I'd guesstimate around 4"
