    High of 9 today with 0.6” of snow.

    Light snow all morning with a temp around 2-4. Warmest it's snowed in almost two weeks. Probably will end up around 0.5"

    Only managed to get down to -3 here as cloud cover kept us relatively warm. Trade off is mood flakes all day.

    Per the NWS at MSP: 281 consecutive hours with a windchill of zero or below. 2/4-2/16 116 consecutive hours with an air temperature of zero or below. 2/11-2/16 225 cumulative hours spent below zero in February so far. (Most since 1936)

    Yeah I’m not worried about it. We are only about 2” ahead of norm to date. Our time will come again, and the deep prolonged cold was enjoyable. I was just trying to remind you that we all can’t cash in all the time and although it’s frustrating watching big dog totals come in a county away I’m sure within the next 5 years you’ll see a foot in early December and Alec will have cold rain and dust at the end.

    Got down to -15 here last night. Temps already torching up to -6 here. Won’t be long until we are above zero for the first time in almost a week.

    Our streak below zero appears to have ended as the temperature has risen to 0.

    Low of -18 again in the city. UHI flexed it’s muscles as New Richmond WI 40 miles east got down to -35

    Overachiever high of -4 today. One degree shy of the record low max. Quickly dropped to -8 as the sun set.

    Chicago is only 4” behind Minneapolis on snowfall for the season. No doubt will pass us in the next few days. What a turnaround for you guys.

    Perhaps the problem is the NWS isn’t funded enough and we should increase funding for scientific research. Ever think of that one?

    Officially got down to -18 at the airport and -20 at the nws office. much more impressive is the cold up north. -50 outside of Ely is a new state record for 2/13 and how about Duluth going down to -35

    No kidding. With the prolonged stretch of sub 10 degree weather we’ve had anything over 20 will feel balmy.

    Another day with a high below zero at -2. Now at over 50 hours below zero and looks like we might add another couple days to the streak.
