  1. Some much needed rain thankfully coming our way. Hopefully it can wash out the smoke.
  2. Just got a lightning notification, sweet! Looks like some storms popping off to the south moving north. Hopefully more activity can get going closer to the lake.
  3. Hope we can get some pop ups today the heat is starting to be too much, probably be 92 today, forecast highs always be underdone
  4. Where’s the severe weather, I don’t think I’ve heard a rumble of thunder once this year
  5. Damn not even the lake providing relief lol. Seeing upper 90’s at all the usual cool spots. Brutal.
  6. Thinking 110 HI is attainable today.
  7. Feels like brutal Florida summer out, been several years since I’ve felt those conditions so my body can’t handle
  8. Overachieving for sure in MKE! Loving it
  9. It’ll come south some… New Years MKE special upcoming
  10. Amazing, you could divide those totals by 4 and it still would be epic. I think we might have something here.
  11. Josh must be losing his touch, is he suffering from long covid or something
  12. Thankfully got new tires on my car, if I can’t get snow in MKE I can at least drive north and not feel like I’m gonna lose control. Pictured Rocks again might be nice even though it’s a 5 hour drive, the extra hour of daylight helps.
  13. Idk how you guys can do that. Must be some seriously solid ice. I tried walking on Devils Lake last January and saw people in the middle and assumed it was safe. Damn ice started cracking and distorting about 300 yards from shore, turned around and tip toed my way back, scariest few minutes I’ve experienced
  14. Still no measurable snow in Milwaukee either, wonder what the record is.
  15. Think I’m gonna drive up to Stevens Point or so to see some snow. Hopefully I won’t have to adjust further north.
  16. Can we please get an accumulation in MKE, still waiting on that.
  17. Interesting and makes sense. Those pressure wind relationships with Matthew, Irma, and Dorian just did not make sense. Irma was a decent sized hurricane and the SFMR showed 160 kt while it was still 926 mb. Irma was probably likely 145-150 kt, same with Dorian. Matthew was probably 125 kt max.
  18. Torching up to 66, just went swimming in the lake, first time I’ve been in the lake in November. Water still feels warm.
  19. Straight torching today, might hit 65. Lake is still in the mid 50s so I’m going swimming.
  20. A very disappointing season outside of Ida, guess we were due.
  21. No location got 155 kt winds in either Irma or Dorian. If they did they would have been completely flattened. They were Cat 5’s just like all the others. I do think the only hurricane that you could debate as Cat 6 would be 1935 Labor Day.
