  1. Okay, what is the pig reference about?
  2. Here's an example: https://apnews.com/article/virus-outbreak-connecticut-utah-south-dakota-birthdays-9af5eefc37765c777c215d9560c66d2b
  3. Sun's out, up to 41, no sign of any snow here so if there was mixing in, it didn't stay.
  4. A much scarier name than "Nana" which felt destined to bring you cookies and cocoa before bed.
  5. A lot of grousing in this thread the last few days.
  6. So this would be the run where the GFS transitions from summer to winter by showing a blizzard at hour 300 in every other run instead of a Cat 4+ hurricane in each run by giving us both.
  7. Good to hear. We planted 5 plum trees right before this last dry stretch so I am thankful for the rain so I don't need to keep watering them.
  8. Is your lawn getting a nice drink? I am picturing standing in the rain with arms out like Andy Dufresne.
  9. "NNE- come for the snow retention, stay for the weirdly frequent severe storms"
  10. Some yellows, a lot of browns, and a few reds thrown in- it matches the foliage!
  11. New drought maps are out but of course they have a cutoff of Tuesday. So continued worsening is shown. We wait to see how things look next week for this storm and anything else is factored in:
  12. Nearest weather station has 2.93 so far with another .2 on Sunday night. Our pond is back to full, the new plum trees are watered, the driveway is covered in leaves, and there is water in the basement. Yeah it is autumn!
  13. The light of the sunset really brings out the color of his salmon t-shirt and white suit jacket (sleeves rolled up of course).
  14. If this was a cop or spy movie, you would have to avert a huge attack and end up working through the night. You would thwart it tomorrow but realize that you still had unfinished business in your career. Yes I am binge watching Mi-5 at the moment, why would you ask that?
  15. The rain has slacked here now but when we got up the rain was so heavy our labrador refused to go outside to go to the bathroom.
  16. weather station on the next road over has 1.99 inches since midnight, and .83 yesterday, so 2.82 so far. https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KVTNORWI10 It also has the temp and dew doing 5f since 6 am.
  17. If my math is right, KLEB is up to 2.22 inches. https://w1.weather.gov/data/obhistory/KLEB.html
  18. The sun angle is tough to overcome this time of year.
  19. Plus, as the photos clearly show, nobody lives there.
  20. 2007 had a huge Grinch melt. I think it was around the 23rd. We were in Bethlehem NH at the time and had a 22" pack taken down to an inch in a two day hit. We recovered and I think there were still a few patches of snow on the ground all the way to May 1.
  21. The second photo clearly shows that there are not inches of leaves. Clear instance of slant sticking or was the measurement in a drift? Upslope enhancement by the birches? If so, do you find that to be more likely to occur with a blocked flow? What has the Froude number been lately? What is showing at the stake? Regardless, I assume Jay Peak is reporting twice the leaf depth as you have. There, I think we are prepped for winter.
