  1. That was one thought but if the temp spiked above freezing and was mostly a straight rain, I wanted it to avoid shovelling the extra weight. And if it was going to be more snow, then better start soon. For freezing rain, I would have gone the pack absorbtion route. Sadly I had no idea what would actually happen. Still don't
  2. I couldn't decide what would be better so I left half which worked well with my feeling lazy at the time.
  3. 4" plus a crust and some sleet.
  4. Freak's theme song? Meanwhile I have a WWA for 4-8 inches with some mix too. Guess Saturday will be a driveway clearing day here.
  5. Plus you locked in the 18Z GFS for us yesterday so obviously that will become the solution. We all know calling locks before the next run is the key.
  6. We are all in line for bread and milk or at the gas station getting emergency gas for the generators!
  7. No, there are dual Cray supercomputers- that makes it "Cray Cray" Oops Dryslot beat me to it
  8. Just about my least favorite storm. It stalled just so the radar showed virga in C VT while I sat for a couple of days watching CNN just cursing as we got flurries and the line came oh so close. Someone stole my snow 27 years ago and I am still bitter.
  9. 4.8 inches here. Hopefully it will be some fluffy shoveling
  10. 4.8 here in the hills of Norwich. 47 on the season.
  11. Biggest GEM run of our lives has begun.
  12. Canadian should have the W NE and Mass weenies excited for next weekend as it has the storm do a crawl across the south coast Clown map 24 hour clown map but it goes more than 24 hours: Its the GEM but whatever
  13. I'll call it 5.3 but measurements were kind of all over the place.
  14. What a awful, awful commute! I did get behind a plow on 91 for about 12 miles otherwise I may have given up. It was snowing over an inch an hour at home when I left
  15. Biggest downside to BTV from a snow perspective is that it is awful at snow retention- if that matters to you.
  16. 6.5 inches here today. Nice base developing after that sleet and rain lead to a 5 inch glacial layer last week. Sledding would be great tomorrow.
  17. The same bands hit me too. 6.5 inches here in W Norwich. Mush of it in the intense squall around 6 or 630. it was some of the worst visibility I have had driving with not wind factor. I was trailing a tractor trailer on 91 and we were doing 25. Visibility was maybe 50 yards. It got where I almost could not tell where the exit was. I didn't think I would be able to reach the house as I was in the Prius but made it to the bottom of the driveway. The shovelling went like a snap as the fluff factor was fantastic.
