  1. How can we appreciate the sun if we don't have the rain? It irrigates crops!
  2. Jerry, all alone in the Atlantic, appears to be the Master of his Domain.
  3. The two wunderground stations on either side of me are sitting at 1.67 and 1.56 so far (including .04) before midnight. Good drink

  8. I got 8" in that storm. I remember going down to town and it was just drizzling when I drove home gradually snow appeared and then about a quarter of a mile from the house everything was covered as I came around the last bend.
  9. .92 at since 8/1 at the closest station to me. https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KVTNORWI10/graph/2025-07-1/2025-07-1/monthly 1.76 since we had a big storm on 7/10.
  10. While things are slow, I have a basic general question- Can someone explain to me why there is no discussion of the storm off Virginia as tropical or at least subtropical. The analysis, if I am reading it correctly, seems to have it as having a symmetric warm core. What is missing to at have this given a designation? https://moe.met.fsu.edu/cyclonephase/gfs/fcst/archive/25091606/11.html Edit: I see it being discussed on the main Tropical thread.
  11. 45 outside, 50 at the kitchen island- I probably shouldn't have left all the windows open last night
  12. I shudder at how bad the hype would be:
  13. Do a trip to 5 Islands Lobster in Georgetown and combine it with a visit to the beach at Reid state park which is only 2 or 3 miles down the road on the same peninsula. Frosty's in Brunswick is only open 4 days a week but makes great donuts. https://apps.web.maine.gov/cgi-bin/online/doc/parksearch/details.pl?park_id=13 https://fiveislandslobster.com/ https://www.frostysdonuts.com/
  14. Folks who want to see Rainn Wilson, William Macy, and Steve Zahn all in one movie perhaps?
  15. I think it will be too south of here to feel an effect.
  16. In June we went below 60 on 21 of the 30 nights with a monthly low of 36. In July we have been below 60 4 of 14 nights. So even with the hot days here cool down at night and with open windows at night and closed during the day the house is very comfortable most of the time. That being said I was going to put the AC in 2 or 3 weeks ago but could not find one of the two side accordian bits and was too tired at that point in the day to rig up some cardboard to close the gap in the window. One of the plus sides to having a house at over 1200" surrounded by trees and hills.
