Friday was a nice display of the compaction and drainage issues I mentioned recently about why I am having trouble maintaining grass in the area below.
We used to have a neighbor that did this and he usually did it right as it was getting dark/ bed time for our kid back then. We assumed he did it to get an hour away from his wife.

I think we can agree that Summer's back is broken. Sure we may see a warm or even hot day here or there but soon we will be sipping hot fresh cider and peeping at leaves.
This is my favorite bear sleeping in the woods video, from Vermont last summer. You need the sound up for it to be best appreciated. I feel like I am a 12 year old for enjoying it so much.
We had a nice storm pop up last night and run right over the house just before I got home. We got a quick tenth of an inch which was welcome as June had been so dry so far- other than the shower yesterday morning too.
