I could not find a BTV Info Statement with snow totals, just two for the wind. Did they issue a snow total statement or map?

5.1 for us. Looks like it will be a pretty morning to shovel.

A quick out the backdoor check puts us between 5 and 6 inches, still snowing.

0.4 here! And to think people are trying to say this is a February to forget. This was a storm for the ages! I have now passed the 60" barrier on the year which is impressive seeing I have yet to get more than 6.5" for a single storm (unless that recent 2 parter counts which gave me 4 then 3.5)

Second round in late afternoon/evening brought us up to 1.5 inches or so.

I woke up to 2.2 inches new overnight or last evening. It was snowing at a nice clip when I put the dog out just before 8. It must have kept going for a bit.

I remember watching WCAX one day for the 6 pm news back in January 1994. It was -27F in S Royalton out my window. It rained the next day.

Sure enough we ended up losing power a little after 3pm . We were out for about 23 hours. We ended up getting 3.5 inches more after the changeover to give up 7.5 inches plus the ice. Branches down up and down our road. I will have to go into our woods to see what that looks like but may wait until the ice melts off the trees first. Got a few pictures but the camera battery died From yesterday before the change:

Just starting to get a few fat flakes now. There is a good 1/4 inch ice on everything. It really is just a matter of time until the power goes out.

I look to have gone over to light sleet Something big just came down in my neighbors woods. I could not tell if it was the whole tree or just the top of something.

Wasn't 15-16 far worse or was that just up here? I am already 10 inches ahead of my entire 15-16 total.

That was one thought but if the temp spiked above freezing and was mostly a straight rain, I wanted it to avoid shovelling the extra weight. And if it was going to be more snow, then better start soon. For freezing rain, I would have gone the pack absorbtion route. Sadly I had no idea what would actually happen. Still don't
