  1. Flooding is getting bad in Lancaster. And we've got hours left, not looking good. Also, low level rotation will be hard to pick up, especially far away from radars. So keep that in mind...
  2. Geez flooding has started to get really bad here in Millersville. And we've got hours of this left
  3. Millersville University just cancelled classes and will be closing at 1pm
  4. South and East of that line has the best shot at tornados later. Lancaster seems to be in an odd spot: not exactly in the "heaviest" rain axis but also not SE enough for the best Tornado chance. However, I assume as this begins to shift a bit east the axis of rain will also shift with it
  5. Don't see either of these too often. High Risk in Flooding and 10% tor probs
  6. From the Flash Flood Watch * The remnants of Hurricane Ida will pass through the region Wednesday through early Thursday morning. Periods of heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms associated with this low will result in widespread 3 to 5 inches of rain, with locally higher amounts likely exceeding 6 inches by Thursday morning. Combined with wet antecedent conditions, this will lead to numerous instances of flash flooding, some of which may be significant
  7. Euro absolutely blasts the area with heavy rains from Ida, some of this does include convection/rains before Wednesday
  8. Here's a live stream for the local FOX news station in New Orleans: https://www.fox8live.com/livestream/
  9. Yeah radar is really starting to blossom all across the region. These bands are no joke, we'll see how far inland they stretch and which place sets up as the pivot point
  10. They're slowly starting to drift westward. Parts of western Chesco and eastern Lanco already have recorded over 1" of rain.
  11. Parts of western Chesco and eastern Lanco have a Flood advisory up. Some cells have been stationary over there
  12. Small core and circulation but continues to improve on IR
  13. There's actually an impressive blowup of convection right over the center currently. We'll see if it's just a quick pulse or if it maintains
  14. Both the NAM and HRRR have this band of rain setting up and starting around 8pm and lasting through most of the overnight.
  15. Officially Hurricane Henri 11:00 AM EDT Sat Aug 21Location: 34.4°N 72.5°WMoving: NNE at 14 mphMin pressure: 991 mbMax sustained: 75 mph
  16. My goodness 12k NAM PARKS that PRE band right over Philly. Reminds me very much of Hurricane Joaquin, which had that inverted trough/PRE rainfall all across South Carolina without ever landfalling. This will just be a more microscale similarity
  17. What we need to watch is this band of PRE rainfall that is targeting SE PA across some of the short term guidance. Some of the models are just picking up on it now, we'll have to see how it continues to trend
