    Hopefully we get the temps to be cold enough to be frozen. The weather channel has the mid state in the 40-50s for the next 2 weeks. A day in the 30’s after a frontal passage. Chilly rains.

    For now it’s not looking like it will be cold enough next week for all snow. Cold rain. Hope you east TN folks get a beautiful snow. I know my son is really excited in Johnson City.

    Question is there not a -NAO at this time? Would that not block the disturbance from going OTS or up the seaboard?

    Ours just went down. Wife said Comcast would be up at 2:30AM. Posted somewhere on their website. How the heck they know that lol? I’d hate to be out tonight in this mess. Those poor linemen.

    I just mentioned that in the other thread. lol! I love it.! I sure hope Cohen is right. Cold thru mid February! Winter is young with plenty of weeks to go! Gotta say please no more ice. It’s an iceberg here. Luckily power has came back & hopefully stays on.

    28 with heavy freezing rain. Hopefully it’s heavy enough to not stick. What a mess. Hope we keep power.

    ICE Storm discussion. 00z H-triple-R has increased ICE accumulations for Nashville, Franklin, and Murfreesboro in the overnight into Sunday morning. Surface warm tongue never really reaches Nashville in the latest H-triple-R. Ice accretion > 1 inch looking possible per latest graphic (yellow). Boyd

    Here in Smyrna we are around 2” snow & some sleet. I was able to blow most off but also easily shoveled the sidewalks & driveway. I decided to do because at my house the sun is in the back of the house blocked by trees. Meaning it does not melt. Especially the front sidewalk. With the chance of freezing rain. I wanted to give it a chance to hopefully melt some on sunny days. Sleet has staying power.

    Here in Smyrna it’s sleet & some freezing rain mixed in or it’s just really big snow flakes melting thru the 2M temp.

    The snow is way ahead of schedule. It is now showing on my app the snow will start here at 2.45. It’s also snowing down in Oxford.
