    The latest HRRR has DC with 0.2" of snow (Kuchera) by 3 AM, then 0.6" by 4 AM. My optimistic read is that it is already underdoing this initial wave...

    imo the DC snowhole is somewhat real this time, given that people in this thread north, west, south and east of DC are reporting snow. It will not exist in 30 minutes

    01z HRRR looks identical to 00z, ~0.80" of QPF in DC before round 2.

    Shouldn't affect things in any substantial way but seems like we're running a couple degrees warmer than the guidance from earlier today

    06Z HRRR is a small shift south with the heaviest totals, and overall a bit south of 00z, but very good regionwide. It's also a complete mauling for the central part of the forum -- Kuchera has 13" at DCA by 1 PM.

    09z - 15z is a beatdown for the immediate DC area -- 0.5-0.6" QPF and all snow.

    Feels like the bottom 10% scenario for DC is like 3-4" of snow and sleet and then a whiff on the coastal stuff, so basically GFS round 1 without GFS round 2. Which honestly is not a bad floor!
