Yeah I’m with you on this Cold month and lots of wintry precipitation Nice taste of winter...which is more than we can say for 2010s winters in general People talk about the 2016 el nino blizzard...that was an awful, warm winter with one large snow storm...that melted almost immediately What was our Dec that year ? + 12? And when was the first freeze? 1/2? Now we are bitching about 40s on xmas?

We have been in a cold pattern since early Nov. Dont lose sight of that for one week over 40s Im also propping up evergreens on my property that a bent over from ice as I type this

I didnt say normal. But low to mid 40s and scattered days of upper 40s in late Dec is hardly a “torch”

That’s OK because that warm up seems to persist right before Christmas It goes it comes and goes and comes and now I see forecast temperatures in the Upper 40s next weekend. This week is looking like mix to rain (rain for city) cold to warm to cooler. Wash, rinse, repeat Definite pattern taking hold here...

That’s a bad road with no shoulders and bad drainage. That used to be a bypass for the van wyck...Now it has more traffic than the van wyck! Pretty dense for up here in westchester for 10am. I thought it would lift as the day went on

Can you break it out by month by chance? December has taken a huge hit where March had to increase over last decade

It does look like other than the middle of this week, Nearly every other day of over the next two weeks will be at or above normal. I’m surprised that rapid change hasn’t gotten more attention on the site The air that follows next weeks cutter doesnt look all that cold...as of now

Been above freezing for 24 hours straight. Temps seem to be coming in warmer than expected this week as well. After we receive the snow I thought we would have it around through Saturday Disappointing end to our first snowstorm; but it is the norm for the 2010s. We have had plenty of snow, but we just don’t seem to keep the cold air in place and keep snow cover in place for extended periods of time unless it is a massive storm 34F at 7am
