  1. It only hit 70 at JFK yesterday-- today will likely be half a dozen degrees warmer or more
  2. I was sad to see the lead runner in the NYC marathon collapse at mile 21
  3. Yeah and TWC retired the name Jonas lol
  4. That was my major problem with it, I hate night time heavy snows.
  5. THE GOAT THE BABE RUTH OF SNOWSTORMS !!!!
  6. First 32 for NYC and the entire area next week?
  7. all time for the month? I want it to hit 80 to match November 15 1993
  8. The cold for next week is crazy and such a shock to the system. Think the whole area finally goes below freezing next week, Chris?
  9. That 80 on November 15th 1993 was so amazing. I wonder what the 850 temps were on that day and what the weather map looked like. 1993 was overall one of our hottest summers too. And the following winter was a full 180 degree flip lol.
  10. Looks like Monday November 7th will be the warmest day and we could hit 80 degrees!
  11. That wind is what I remember most. It felt like being at the north pole for a day!
  12. Hit 72 at JFK and 73 at Newark. I'm hoping we hit 80 this weekend!
  13. But at least they have stated these aren't meant to be used to predict the weather, it's for use by the energy markets.
  14. Wow, that sounds comical lol. That was such a short lived period of cold too, I bet by the time he got all the winter gear off the arctic air had already started to leave.
  15. I like mild Novembers like this because they often mean things trend the other way in December.
  16. We're likely going to have a big sea wall built to prevent this kind of damage from happening again. Trillion dollar project.
  17. gusts were pretty uniform through the area.... 85-90 mph, highest gust recorded was 96 mph
  18. since 2013 here. The early sea breeze sucks, all it does it make things worse with higher humidity without the joy of 100 degree heat.
  19. Lost it at 6:30 pm just as it was about to make landfall. It came back at 7:30 pm the next day-- my longest power outage here ever.
  20. Don if this lasts long enough maybe we can compare it to the amazing heat of November 14-15 1993 which also occurred right around the marathon
  21. Over 40 inches close to 50 inches on Long Island though... 30-35 inches in the big storm, and a memorable heavy snow that caused a crain to fall in NYC and some nickle and dime events in February and then the Valentine's Day below zero outbreak.
  22. How does this warmup compare to November 14-15 1993? That also occurred right around the NYC Marathon and was my all time favorite.
  23. Perfect reason to extend the baseball season!
  24. November 15, 1993 was one of the greatest fall memories I've ever had. 72 on the day of the marathon and 80 degrees the day after.
  25. I wonder if this November will be like December 2015 a month early.
