    when it's really cold it doesn't matter how many clothes you wear though. my benchmark for heat is actually July 2010, that was enjoyable, low humidity and 100 degrees plus, I think even you were impressed with how it got so hot with so little humidity lol

    We had nothing like that here! Was this strictly a central and eastern Long Island storm? JFK,LGA had between 4-6 inches and NYC less than that?

    well the party is over and the snow has ended here, the temp is 35, it snowed for about 50 minutes and it was fun while it lasted. It only ever stuck a little to rooftops and my window as the wind blew it around.

    I remember them well! The first one brought 6.2 inches to NYC, the first 6"+ storm there in many years (but not here on the south shore, it was a mixture of snow and rain that stuck when it snowed and melted when it rained lol) and the second storm I was really looking forward to, because it was much colder and was going to be all snow, 5-8" was predicted but we got some sort of dry slot in the middle of the storm and only ended up with 3-5" with more emphasis on the 3" lol

    What was the followup storm to January 2016, Chris? Was that the storm we had a few inches of snow but it could have been a lot more (the storm was just east of us.) Or was that in February? The storm where the crane fell in NYC?

    What happened on 1/26/94? The two snow events in early February I remember clearly that year-- 2/8/94 and 2/11/94 I think? We also had a bowling ball low in late December 1993 and a moderate coastal in that same month.

    Plus heat has great historical value for us number geeks, there's just an amazing feeling of accomplishment when you hit 100 degrees

    I looked up NYC snowfall totals they were 50+ both seasons, the main differences were that although February was snowy in 2015 it was nearly historic in 2014, and March was much snowier in 2015, while we got zero snow in March 2014, but I have a lot better memories of 14-15 because it was backloaded.... nearly 20 inches of snow in March 2015 made it my snowiest March ever. https://www.weather.gov/media/okx/Climate/CentralPark/monthlyseasonalsnowfall.pdf
