Yes, sit we have been burnt and are now rightfully so gun-shy . A week away ? The models can not even latch onto things a day before

2 weeks ago when we woke up to ICE everywhere schools stayed open ( did not even have a delay ) and the district caught a lot of grief for it so now they are scared

To cancel school for a max of 2 inches ( if we even get close to that will be a miracle ) to me is insane as we Just got the call ,,,they cancelled school here. I remember when I was a kid and I would pray that school would get canceled and it rarely was.

As much as I love snow ,Once we get into March it does not do much for me as no matter how big the storm it is usually gone in a day or 2. Once March arrives I am in Spring mode so give me some snow now ( especially when there's cold air around ) or lets just move on. That said we still have 6 weeks of winter left can we please just take advantage of the cold air and opportunities when they are right in front of us ? Begging over,,,,,,,carry on gents

IMO there is a lot of time for the models to show something different in a day or so and I expect them to as this again IMO will not be the final outcome as It rarely is 4 days in advance

I was just outside walking with the dog and I did not measure but " my dead on balls accurate " ( it's industry term) eyes say the best guesstimate I can give for New City is 3 inches and still snowing,,,sucks that it is gonna change over

Radar is filling in and coming up North ---does anyone have a guesstimate for a start time for NYC ? Looks to me like it won't be long now

Keep posting and doing what you are doing Walt as your threads are a wealth of information and I as many others do as well appreciate them. Don't take what some say to heart or the wrong way especially when a storm threat that is in question has not even occurred yet. In other news it is 5 degrees in New City right now and let us see how this storm plays out tonight, be safe all

Keep posting fellas and ladies, as I remember last week people were throwing in the towel on that storm and we were a lot closer to to the event then we are now,,,,,,,give it some more time and let these models and Mother Nature do what they do and then we can see see how things look as we get closer to game time = still a ways to go until Sunday / Monday

Snow man it was unreal as anyone who lives here or nearby knows, my son was driving to school and totally lost all control of the car and wound up luckily on some guys lawn and not much worse the roads were as bad as I have ever seen them as far as not being treated. Hopefully tomorrow IF conditions call for it be it the weekend or not they do a better job and stay on top of this if needed and not react after the fact

I am in Rockland county and Wednesday was a sh!t show here. People do NOT know how to handle or drive on ice the best way to handle it is to stay home if you can
