13.0” in South Buffalo at 7am. City streets were a disaster, nothing plowed. Even with 4WD was still struggling to push through. Roads were plowed decently once I hit West Seneca Cheektowaga area.

Yup made it to about 8” here lots of sleet and pellets mixing in now. Only 1.5” in last 90 minutes.

Some video from that initial band that rolled though. Insane snowfall rates for a solid hour. But yes the pingers are pinging right now.

6.5” here at 1am. On and off very heavy bursts. It snowed a go pro high in about 20-25 minutes.

Wait till that code gets over you. Tons of solid 4-5”/hr bursts. Not sustained but when they pick up those flakes are monsters. Felt like someone pegging me with snowballs. Have a few videos up on a bit but I’m eyeballing almost 6” here already

That may have been the most fun Bills game I have ever watched. It was a near perfect all around performance. The fact it was the Pats multiplied that by like 100. I’m freaking pumped right now!

I fell like this setup has happened before in WNY. Sometime in the 2011 12 13's? Big synoptic storm predicted around 18" right up to the start of the event. Ended up being a sleet bomb surprise killed the snowfall, had 3-4" of just solid sleet ice pellets, heavy has hell and maybe 2" of snow on top. NAM and even RGEM are throwing a lot of warmer air back our way, still looks to hold snow in WNY but another blip adding to this storm.

Snowpack is toast. Few ripe days above freezing will finish off the last few hiding spots. Most of the park activities are no go with current conditions. Lot of cool places you can still go hike around but the frozen mud tundra? No thanks. Hate to say January is a pretty boring month here but add it no snow and yeah really nothing going on. Canalside and Riverworks are neat areas to keep you busy. Not sure if your looking just for outdoor activities? The falls are really cool to see when it gets this cold out, everything is in cased in ice. Should look awesome after the Saturday single digits day. Any other interests for recommendations?
