  1. The best are when you see the indefinite sky readings on the ASOS/AWOS. That's when you're getting into the good stuff.
  2. How often do you see DCA report SN with a temp 19/12.
  3. Rt26/rt27 got snow light but steady.
  4. Some rogue snowflakes in New Windsor, Carroll County. The Catoctin Mts. are getting that fuzzy look.
  5. You need to move. Come up to Reisterstown. We have plenty of homes for sale and 700' + elevation,
  6. Yup. We love going up during weather like this. Feeling a -15 degree wind chill and standing on that sheer drop is so exhilarating.
  7. We love driving up there. We go to Cascade all the time then drive up to the old hang glider spot. You can see everything so beautifully. Fishing at Rt. Ritchie is pretty nice too.
  8. In set ups like this, the Catoctin Mts. can jackpot easily. They are close to 2,000 ft. in elevation near Penn Mar / Cascade and don't suffer from virga like us low-landers.
  9. It's possible that it could be right tonight for the wrong reasons. We have fresh snow, clear skies and light winds tonight so it could verify pretty close.
  10. HRR 2m temps have been about 3 to 5 degrees too cold with this air mass. I've been seeing a lot of posts on Wx Twitter about how the HRRR de-couples the atmosphere too quickly and has a cold bias with 2m temps.
  11. RIP Allegany County, MD...5% of the county w/o power.
  12. Yup. As I mentioned earlier, it's low topped stuff that appears to fade out in between radar sites. Someone needs to tell that to Crankwxguy on Twitter. KGAI just reported SN+
  13. One of the more impressive temperature drops I've seen in my life. Went from 32° at 11:53 am to 21° and still falling at of 12:57 pm in Gaithersburg.
  14. Legit whiteout in Gaithersburg. Surprised this isn't warned.
  15. Temp down the 24 degrees...one of the more impressive frontal passages.
  16. Front just swept through Gaithersburg....temp went from 33° to 30° in 10 min.
