  1. Yeah hope it stays that way. I was just mentioning yesterday how it's been pretty bad timing on the weekends.
  2. Since midnight about 1.75" here, got slammed during the early morning hours with some good rain and heavy thunder. I gotta say, this mediocre weekend trend has gotten old fast. I think this is the 6th weekend in a row that was either overcast or had heavy storms. Most of Northwest NJ and into NY state has had plenty of rain at this point. I love tracking convection in the summer but we need some longer breaks in between to alleviate the flooding concerns.
  3. Pulled the pool cover off and got rained on at least 4 times minimum. Sucky day with unpredictable pop up storms.
  4. Had some heavy downpours that amounted to 0.40" here.
  5. Approaching 4.50" here. Just an insane day. There were at least half a dozen bursts of heavy downpours throughout the day, but between 4:15 and 5ish we just got absolutely hammered. Definitely up there with some of the heaviest rain I've seen. Still a ton of moisture headed up this way...kind of hoping the next few days are misses IMBY because the local flooding will just get worse.
  6. Already .50" since midnight. Have a pretty good batch overhead currently.
  7. Weird being socked in with fog this time of the year. Can barely see 50 yards down the block. .25" of rain today.
  8. Yeah, shorter by seconds lmao..and that has nothing to do with anything. Our warmest and coldest averages always come after the solstice anyway.
  9. We'll have to dig this part of the thread up when it's in the 90's with dews in the 70's. It's literally the summer solstice lol.
  10. Little under a half inch here today. With rain Monday, Wednesday, and today, I'm at about 1.5" total for the week, which should really help things out.
  11. That's a heck of a line in South Jersey, but I'll take this big blob coming over me too.
  12. Only about 0.40" here but there were a couple bouts of really heavy downpours. Combined with Monday and possibly later in the week it should help a lot.
  13. Just about 0.50" total. I think this was very beneficial rain in that we didn't have any torrential downpours at any given time (at least here), but rather a nice steady rain that could soak in better. Hoping we can get more rain Wednesday and maybe even Friday. In between those chances, Tuesday, Thursday, and the weekend are looking really nice.
  14. Yeah our's were cracked and it got to 66.
  15. Same, but with the cool breeze it wasn't warm enough. I ended up having to take my down jacket back out.
  16. While we need the rain, this weather has been incredible. Not sure how anyone can't like it. Beautiful dry days that aren't humid.
  17. I can't remember if it was 2020 or 2021 but it was during the middle of one of our hot and humid periods of summer that we had some pretty thick smoke here too. It was already HHH kind of weather, then the smoke made it worse.
  18. It has been very bad this year. It started early so I thought it would end earlier too.
  19. But at least if we stay around average to slightly above that means mid-60's to lower 70's, which is great. The last few days that have been stuck in the low 50's are well below normal, and after tomorrow should hopefully be done for good. I agree no "big" heat signal coming up, but I think most of us are just looking for some nice sunny spring days anyway.
  20. Once this spinning pinwheel of crap gets out of the way we will be back to May weather. We had better days in March.
  21. With the rain gradually ending, my two day total is sitting right around the 4.50" mark. Definitely didn't expect that, and I'm really impressed with some of the 6"+ totals that have been reported. Looks like a grey and cool week ahead, but I think starting Saturday we enter a much nicer and warmer period.
  22. This has been an early start to spring with the warmth. A lot of stuff blooming and starting to turn green. We get a cool down now but next week looks to warm up again (not like this, but more seasonable). I do have to say though, the heat the last two days has really thrown my brain a curve. It's weird seeing spring blooms with 90 degree temps like you alluded to.
  23. Did the final tally today, ended up with exactly 15 inches on the season. Believe it or not, that's not far off from the last few years IMBY, with 20-21 being the obvious exception because of that crazy February stretch. 19-20 was worse off, and only saw 13 inches, none of which fell in February or March. Last year had slightly more at 21 inches, but it should be noted that January was a lot colder and therefore we had a lasting snowpack. @rgwp96 @ForestHillWx Looking forward to a gradual transition to spring now with the increasing average temps and longer days.
  24. Same, I guess we'll see if the delayed spring trend continues.
