  1. Parts of the advisory just added to the warning.
  2. Those are false returns. It's not coming down as heavily as the radar suggests. Its due to the angle of the radar beam.
  3. Seriously. It's the radar site. It's scanning diagonally and picking up more data than it does in other areas and giving false returns.
  4. Morning flights out of BWI are being cancelled already. My brother was heading to Sarasota tomorrow morning, but is now on a plane tonight as his flight was nixed.
  5. Nobody knows it yet, but you, Mappy, me, and the Columbia crowd are getting the norlun.
  6. Just think, you may have all of June to yourself since they'll be in school until July.
  7. I don't know, dude. The radar is impressive and just getting cranking. It'll be weird going over to snow here before areas further west, but I think that might happen as the heavier bands rotate in from the southeast.
  8. Heavier rates are approaching from my southeast now. Things might look differently here in an hour or so.
  9. I wish you'd share a few of those percs with some in the main forum. We chase off new posters over there.
  10. Winds have turned to more north and less east, so I think temperatures should start to slowly fall. ETA: the MD mesonet site is so good. Looking forward to more stations!
  11. As always, I could be wrong, but wrap-around snow later tonight and early Monday could be fun for some areas too.
  12. The radar is looking good. It's back filling in central and western VA and moving north.
  13. My sister is on the Calvert and Anne Arundel border on Rt 2 and she just texted me that she's all snow with big flakes.
  14. You know this, but the warning hasn't started yet.
  15. I hope instead of a medal, they give Marchand an egg. eta: The stuffed animal must be so hard to accept.
  16. Anyone recall other past storms that had a norlun for the area?
  17. Three on three is sick. Over/Under for time of the winning goal? I'm going 4 minutes.
  18. Quick google search says they are very similar... "For the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina, the hockey rinks are not the same size as traditional, larger international rinks, but they are very similar to NHL rinks. The 2026 Olympic rinks measure 196.85×85.3feet (60×26 meters), which is slightly shorter and wider than the standard 200×85 foot NHL surface."
  19. International rinks used to be bigger, I think, but I don't know about that anymore.
  20. Why does WBAL have a ticker running across my screen saying that the WSW goes until 12AM Tuesday?
  21. Holy cow, what a game! Olympics or not, Wilson and someone may drop gloves with a minute or less remaining.
