These 2 days could have been really amazing if some of the looks for a major snowstorm that the various models gave us late last week for a few days actually came to fruition.
At least most of us had an Advisory level snow yesterday & many saw snow flakes flying this morning.
MDT is officially on the board with 2 inches of snow and they are now really only 2 inches below normal for the snow season to date.
There appears to be a little bit of back building on the radar near the WV panhandle.
Some models have been popping a secondary low near Delaware on runs the last few days, so we may see some precip enhancement near the LSV this morning.
What the heck, it’s almost Christmas…why not dust off the old SREF, lol!
It brings around 1 inch of snow to the LSV tomorrow & this is 10-1, So probably a little more if Kuchera was available.
Great post by @CAPE in the Mid Atlantic thread about where the pattern is heading in January.
Latest edition of the Euro weeklies. Pretty much the same pattern progression as other extended products on the Pacific side. NAO neutral/slightly+. Around the 10th and esp beyond, the pattern turns colder/ more favorable.
MDT is officially on the board with 2.0 inches of snow today as of the 5 pm daily summary.
If they get around 1 inch tomorrow, they will be only around 1 inch below normal snow through tomorrow’s date.
