  1. i dont know what BOX and OKX are doing but it looks fine. They updated the adv in southern CT for an additional 1-3 lol. It hasnt even really started yet.
  2. How much in the city? 1"? We are about that here, i think you guys are good for at least 3"
  3. Cranky really blew it on the last storm. he was posting like 70 tweets a day for that thing that gave most of sne a dusting and 1-3 extreme se ma.
  4. Plenty of time left, back edge just making it through western PA right now.
  5. 0.6" otg. the roads are a disaster, lots of accidents everything snow covered. Doesn't take but a 1/4" on the roads to become very slick. Still looking at a good 3-6 across most of the state. 18Z NAM backed off a bit.
  6. Should pin this, lots of obs rolling through soon. Mostly cloudy right now, shouldnt be long..
  7. No one should, it's truly awful. Sorry NWS but it is. I use them exclusively for weather information (obviously besides models when im not making my own forecast). I read the AFDs, all the products and Zone ZFPS but never, never P&C. Zones are what everyone should use, i tell that to the general public...click on "Zone Area Forecast for X County".
  8. Never use P&C. It's weird. To the left of Enfield it says 3-5, to the right, to the south and to the north. Makes zero sense why that little dot would be 2-4. Just use the Zone Forecasts if you are going to use NWS forecasts. They are at least generated by a human. Or just the WSW (winter weather) products
  9. ? The WWA just updated at 10:30 still says 3-6". The latest map is still 4-6" Nothing was cut back.
  10. Whitefield regional is at -15F and MWN is at 1 Clayton Lake -18F, damn
  11. Look at that beast. Hard to believe a Low headed into the Great Lakes is possibly going to give NYC isn't biggest snowfall of the year and Southern CT a 3-6"er
  12. Final Call before starts for verification. Bumped up everything 1". Decided to go with a narrow 2-3 range for the SE corner instead of the typical 1-3 due to the fact i think 2" is the basement even for GON. Most of the state falls in 3-5 range i believe with some inland areas of new haven, fairfield and litchfield county approaching 6". Some amounts near 7" are not out the question and was indicated in the most favorable area, western interior CT in the hilly terrain. Hopefully this was a good move and i don't regret nudging up the numbers a hair.
  13. This...this, is pure gold. Sig worthy.
  14. We haven’t got one decent event from Seymour to north haven. I don’t care if I jack, def don’t have that fetish I’m just hoping for a solid 4” anything more would be gravy town
  15. I’m likely going to bump up 1 or stand I’ll have to look close when I’m out of work and off the phone. Looks reasonable.
  16. Thats not true at all. I put out a first call map yesterday and I'm working on a new one as we speak for a final call, that will be adjusted. I haven't needed to for the past few storms and have an excellent track record so far this season. I can show you many storms that ive bumped up or down in past seasons.
  17. I agree. I personally don't care, it doesn't affect the outcome and certainly doesn't affect my FX. I just find it funny when watches go up, nothing supports it, they themselves have 0% >6" in those areas and you KNOW they are just going to be converted to an advisory anyways.
  18. BOX AM Shift: BOX PM Shift: AM Shift
  19. Based on BOXs new map, those watches are going over to advisories. I'm utterly shocked!
  20. The watch for southern VT was 7-17"
  21. you have certainly changed your tune, wrote this off pretty much a couple days ago, then 2-4 then 3-5 now 6-7. 8-10 tomorrow morning?
  22. I'm hoping the warming and changeover is timed perfectly with the precip shutting off around here, and it's looking more and more like that's whats going to happen. Hopefully just some dz at the end
  23. i wonder if those two numbers after Cobb are the year it was updated or adjusted. Because ive seen other numbers as well in different versions of BUFKIT. Edit: They are years.
