Well, the Farmer's Almanac was right...it is a major East Coast storm...just not our part of the east coast, lol Old Farmer's was half right...it had snowstorm for the corridor for these dates...close!

One thing about this area: It hardly ever snows (beyond maybe an inch or less) between Dec 26th and the first few days of January. Something always seems to happen (like boxing day 2010...lol) The only time I know of that we got something measurable in that time frame was the December I was born (1990). Snowed a day or two after Christmas. Not to say it CAN'T happen...but just for whatever reason, it's historically rare...so I automatically assume it won't and see our December snow window as Dec 1st-25th, lol But man, if we ever earned a legit white Christmas...it's this year!

Ya know ya learn about highway hypnosis...I think there's a such thing as model hypnosis as well, lol

I was gonna share a similar sentiment...If you ask me these things need to wither be retired or redone to spit out more reasonable solutions. Not saying I believe snow depth maps much...but needless to say they create a confusing illusion for some. It's like constantly overdone maps with ridiculous totals.

I'm a little surprised at this...Tom is usually a more conservative snow forecaster! Why this? Lol (not that all of us would jump at the chance of this...haha)

To reduce the tension...folks can start looking at the medium-long range again? The posts earlier today about the AO oughta soothe some nerves I think it was encouraging!

Not sure you can make declaration until aftwrward...we're still 48-72 hours away from seeing what actually happens. And just because something has a TENDENCY, doesn't mean it happens 100% of the time.

Maybe it should've said "the snow you requested is not yet available"
