Listen, this year there can only be good surprises. Any "rug pull" wouldn't be anything we haven't seen before. Now may be the perfect time to step back and let it play out...(Or at least, that's what I TRY to do, though I keep breaking my rule and turning off my site blocker app and coming in here sometimes).

Now this is really interesting to me. Now, I'll preface this by saying I'm a layman and amateur weather need. To me, there are some things in weather that just seem so counterintuitive--and the amount of la ninas we've been getting recently always baffled me because common sense would say warming planet, warm waters, more el niño! But then I learned a tad about how trade winds cool the water and it made a little more sense but not a lot. So your saying that it's still possible that we see more ninos?

My bar is so low that I'm almost okay with it just being cold in December for a change! Besides how often do we do anomalous cold with snow?

I have still wondered about that...like why did they all of the sudden shut off after 2015? Or was it perhaps because of the PDO flip? Even with a possibly changing climo in mind, the steep shut off with those is strange, isn't it?

Snowglobe game is frickin' AWESOME! (Although the Steelers aiming to squeak by again isn't, lol) Who remembers the Ravens-Vikings snow game (coincidentally that snow kicked off the surprising 2013-14 season we've been talking about).
