  1. Good morning Julian. It didn’t work and the glow didn’t last either. As always …..
  2. Good morning Anthony. Those blessed with the wealth to live at that height experienced it. The rest of us drawing full benefit from our UHI effect and warm ocean significant other will patiently wait. As always ….
  3. Good morning Liberty/Anthony. My Dad did Army Reserve training up there in the late 50’s. I remember him telling us that his unit was told to get their shovels ready one late week in August. 70 years makes quite a difference. If I was able or for that matter still here I would try to get close enough for that “WAY better” experience. When we get close in 2024, Watertown, Rochester and Buffalo will probably be sold out/unapproachable. As always …
  4. Good morning, BxE. Understood and even though I’m for the most part Italian, I didn’t take it (s) personally. As always ……
  5. Good morning Irish. Your phrase has a Bostonian flavor to it. As always ….
  6. Good morning W W and. R A I. My declining days would be lost without the members of the forum and … yup … remembering back, that’s what she said. As always …..
  7. Didn't DC out accumulate Boston one suppressed season? As always.
  8. Good evening Don. How often can one say that a mile high mountain cloaked city gets its first measurable snow later than a warm ocean hugging coastal metro… As always …
  9. Good evening Liberty, sometimes I wish I could trade the fourth for the first. As always ….
  10. Thank you Liberty, I wouldn’t dare speak for Will. I consider myself sorta like one of the working members of the forums U S O. As opposed to all the technically astute members that contribute daily I enjoy the banter with those that are kind enough to respond to me. I find, as my days run short, the forum comradeship is, to me, as much a blessing as it is a gift. As always …..
  11. Good morning Irish. Considering the state of the union and my plumbing I document that every 90 minutes during the night. As always ….
  12. Liberty ‘that reason’ is your strength. As always ….
  13. Good morning Liberty. Only in my own imagination. As always ….
  14. Good evening, Irish. I do not belong to any of the popular/current media outlets, so you’ll have to forgive an old gents naïveté. I thought it was really you. As always ….
  15. It will probably be on July4th in reaction to an S19 post predicting snow for the holiday. As always …
  16. I would imagine with enough shrinkage the photo becomes acceptable. As always…
  17. If you were able to post a photo narrative of that experience, it would lift the spirits of many of us struggling with depressing news and weather. I’m sure the citizens of our 50th state would also understand. As always ..
  18. I imagine, Irish, that there is nothing more uncomfortable than an iced hula skirt, even before sitting. As always …
  19. Lovely photos Don. Early winter spring blooms and is the first photo forsythia? Th rose is gorgeous. It looks possibly like a Chicago Peace variety. I remember back in the 50’s my mom loved white roses and although difficult to maintain a good bloom, she was able to get a white rambler to grow well. I remember it blooming into December which was due in part to full sun and basement heat venting. A memory from 65 years gone. As always …
  20. Good morning W W. Thank you, I never knew such an extended snow projection existed. ‘Ignorance is bliss’ and I keep whistling tunes from the 50’s musical A Most Happy Fella. I do, of course, realize that the statistical probability of verification is somewhat akin to getting the Royal Flush you mentioned. As always …
  21. I apologize before I get Will zapped. I looked it up …” a diagram that gives a vectorial visual representation of the movement of a body or a fluid”. It’s a rather exciting definition. It could be applied to the atmosphere or a pole dancer. As always ….
  22. Good early morning Will. What in blazes is a hodograph? As always ….
  23. Good morning, Julian. The photo below was taken pre-wind event Thur morning on Clinton street seemingly just sparing the vehicle. I believe the culprit that weakened this seemingly healthy maple was previous street excavation. I’ve noticed a number of trees having the same fate, for the same reason, over the years. As always ….
  24. Good morning B Z. The accumulation depth amazes me even from the one mighty oak over my postage stamp. Perhaps if, before dropping, the oak leaves turned snow color it would be, even here, easier to play pretend. As always ….
