  1. Good morning, Julian. The photo below was taken pre-wind event Thur morning on Clinton street seemingly just sparing the vehicle. I believe the culprit that weakened this seemingly healthy maple was previous street excavation. I’ve noticed a number of trees having the same fate, for the same reason, over the years. As always ….
  2. Good morning B Z. The accumulation depth amazes me even from the one mighty oak over my postage stamp. Perhaps if, before dropping, the oak leaves turned snow color it would be, even here, easier to play pretend. As always ….
  3. That’s what you get for hanging out with Will Don't worry, everything has a purpose son. Think of your report card as a learning tool for pre algebraic negative numbers. As always ….
  4. Good evening Nibor. If I owned a printer and knew how to use it, your post would have an honored place on my refrigerator. As always …
  5. Good evening Liberty. I finished a digital book called Empty Earth 11, by Roger Mannon. Your last paragraph, above, could have been inspired by the text of his story ‘Alone’. The second called Tipping Point you could have written or, at least collaborated on. If you ever have an opportunity please read them. As always ….
  6. Good evening N & W. Are you leaking a preview of forky’s next avatar? As always ….
  7. Good evening N & W. If S19 gets the post limitation cancelled, Labor Day will definitely be in the running. As always ….
  8. Good evening Rjay, BxE. My hair left and followed my dads. As a consolation prize fate left it all with me from the eyebrows down … and … allowed it to multiply. So with a shiny pate and well forested slopes i think of my self as a snow capped Pocono ( low rise ). It does make me feel good knowing that once the sap starts flowing the trees get theirs back. With this sap it never worked. Have a good night, stay well. As always …
  9. Good morning mreavers, 40/70 B. When I was 18 in the mid 60’s growing up in an traditional Brooklyn Italian family, if I matched you, I probably wouldn’t be here today. At that time when reaching your 18th birthday, the first card you received in the mail was a 1A from Selective Service. Thinking back if putting things/events in perspective is possible, I agree. Good times, good times. As always …
  10. Good morning BxE. Could you narrow it down a bit. That’s kind of a wide net. As always ….
  11. Good morning Irish. I tried to capture an image of the first flakes to grace the postage stamp, my very limited ability with any recording device is evident. The flakes were there. The members of the fall pumpkin family I placed on the chairs now are down to two. The local neighbor ground/air wildlife has made good use of them with no waste. The oak with its never ending leaf drop continues to soften the edges while the maple in the corner holds onto its last bit of green. I look at the never lit fire pit and the seemingly always empty seats and wonder. Sometimes looking at the fire escape I start quietly singing some fitting songs from ‘West Side Story’ I have to stop as soon as the parlor floor pugs join in. I stand amidst the leaf drop and the debris of the warm season. Sadly I look up at the cold overcast gloom and wait until a flake touches me, melts … than I find peace. As always …
  12. I guess this probably isn’t the best time to mention the buns… As always..
  13. Good morning and thank you jfk you’ve confirmed, for me, that my postage stamp and CPK are close relatives. As always …
  14. Tip, will we be within the circle or continue riding its edge. Is there ever a specific destination when doing so? If we do not make it, will the next innovation be more successful because the experiment, which seems to be sentience, is dropped? Perhaps, perhaps not. The metaphysics of circles are important to us. I am in agreement with you. I rather be in the middle thinking still, rather than riding the circumference to nowhere. As always …
  15. Good morning BW. I cannot remember where I saw it, perhaps from Liberty. It was a proposal to build residential skyscrapers as living self sustained tiered parks. The entire structure was covered in magnificent carbon eating flora. I could go for that building code change. One can wish/dream. As always …
  16. Good morning Walt. My suggestion is we get all the like thinking members together, take the substance of BxE’s post and perform a snow dance on S19’s lawn. If it doesn’t work we keep trying, by the 5th or 6 th attempt it won’t matter to many of us and the new bail guidelines are in our favor. After we’re all released we can try again on Julian’s lawn. As always.
  17. Good evening Irish. A big weenie who embraces a nothing burger has definitive esteem issues. As always ….
  18. Good morning. At least I know why the black bears are so friendly in your neck of the woods. Have a happy/blessed Thanksgiving. As always ….
  19. Memories Unc. I was a senior in Fort Hamilton HS. We had just moved from 75th st in Dyker Heights to 83rd st just off Ridge Blvd I actually enjoyed an entire year of walking to school again. As always ….
  20. Good afternoon BxE. Thank goodness it’s you, for a moment I was concerned that S19 had used your password.. as always …..
  21. She loved snow on her day. Perhaps the atmosphere will grant me one more wish. As always and Happy T Day to you, your family and especially your beloved. As always…..
  22. Good morning Julian with the cold/wind chill ramping up you may want to retool your last sentence. As always ….
