Your points are well taken and the Eagles are clear favorites. But I don’t think playing in Philadelphia is going to present any issues for Daniels. He went into that dome in Michigan last week and faced a crowd that had literally waited their entire lives for that game and led the team like a ten-year vet.

As a Commanders fan, I’ve wasted countless Sundays in the past 34 years watching meaningless football. In that time I’ve been able to enjoy Jan ‘96, Jan ‘00, Feb ‘03, Dec ‘09, Feb ‘10 and Jan ‘16. Give me the Super Bowl win over the next HECS.

DCA has been reporting a Trace for their snow depth since last Friday, the 17th. I did note that there have only been 3 Januaries in the past 25 years with more snow there than this month. And only 4 in the past 30 years with a lower mean temperature than this year (so far.)

My kid has gone to school 6 days since Christmas vacation began on 12/20. With all the snow days exhausted, this week has had 3 remote learning days.

My low was -4 for the third straight morning. The CWOP station at the orchard that borders my property recorded a low of -6.

The mean temp at Martinsburg sits at 25.6 this month (-6.8 below normal.) Even though it won’t finish that low, the first 3+ weeks of the month rank right up there with the coldest Januaries in the last 50 years. 1977- 21.0 1982- 22.6 1994- 23.5 1984- 25.4 2014- 25.4 2025- 25.6

One of those Euro 46-day runs that @Weather Willposts from mid-December nailed the southern snowstorm. I recall commenting on the record snows it showed from the Gulf coast to the GA and SC coasts.

Low of -4° for the second morning in a row. This matches the lowest temp I’ve recorded in 19 years at this location, along with January 2009 and January 2014.

MRB had a high of 16 and a low of 6 so far today. If that holds it’s a -21 departure for the day, after a -19 yesterday.

Looks like -3° will be my low temp. The Falling Waters CWOP station up the road from me is -6°, up from -9° earlier. Bedford, PA is -15° right now. EDIT- just lost another degree. -4°

Second night in a row that my site is one of the coldest in the immediate area. Currently -2° with calm winds and partly cloudy skies. Oldtown, MD is -9°. Cumberland and Moorefield, WV are -3°. Saw a -13° at 1000 ft in the Buchanan State Forest north of McConnellsburg, PA about 30 miles north of me.

Weather station says 7°. I thought it must be an error because the local airports are 17-19°. Checked two outdoor thermometers that also confirmed 7°. Then checked local CWOP stations and all are in the single digits. Very unusual. Edit: bottomed out at 6°.
