Everything I was able to look at this evening had me thinking 6-7” for my yard. So, I’m going to hug that LWX call and trust they know way more than I do.

I got mine in 2006 when I bought the house. Still going strong. Wasn’t cheap but with that kind of durability it’s been worth it. And when I have had the occasional issue, Davis has been awesome to deal with.

I have a weather station mounted on the fence that surrounds my pool. It can run 2-3° higher than the Davis VP2 in the center of my yard.

I joined an AOL weather chat room in 1994 when I was 31. That led to several years of NE.Weather on Usenet before discovering Wright Weather. Followed Randy et al. to Eastern around 2003. Turning 62 in March and realizing how long I’ve been following along with most all of you.

Late to reply to this, but typically if a primary that strong reaches Clarksburg, I mix here. And that’s with a high reinforcing the wedge. But this is a very deep, cold air mass and the storm is driving into it almost as soon as it settles in. Stiff northwest winds will still be filtering in during the day tomorrow with precip arriving not long after, so I’m hoping this time it works.

After 20 years of shoveling a 500’+ long driveway, I finally broke down last month and bought a snowblower. Wasn’t sure it would get much use this season, but now I’m hoping for enough tomorrow night to take it out for its first “ride.”
