  1. According to Walt’s map we are at 2.36” and counting.
  2. Closing in on 2” with moderate rain now. Radar depiction is like a rotting nor’easter. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come; I can’t remember if we got a single wound up storm last winter.
  3. According to Walt’s update we are over 1.5” in my area; makes sense by observations in my yard. Hanging tough so far on basement wetness, but it’s coming.
  4. Heaviest rain of the day, with decent gusts. Weird as the radar shows almost nothing over my area.
  5. Can’t wait for winter! I mean Jeeesus…
  6. I’m more worried about severe flooding if that finger of heavy rain sets up shop over NJ. 4-6” over 36 hours is going to push many areas to the limit.
  7. Sandy soil percs incredibly fast compared to the clay mix up north. Helps sink those temps.
  8. 49 here. Lowest of the early fall season.
  9. 52 now. Slight beeze out of the NW. I’ve seen people wearing parkas this morning; I’m sticking with shorts/t-shirt until October.
  10. Rain has begun, looks like a washout today.
  11. Solid storms out west, rain, frequent thunder and lightening. Seems like they keep back building by flemington.
  12. Good lightening to my west; getting grazed by that cell south of Mount Olive.
  13. 66 with low humidity. Windows open for the next few days, followed by the heat.
  14. 51 here. Quick look at area temps on WU shows a 48 down the hill in Gladstone. Not sure how accurate, but I would think it possible,
  15. 68 currently; projected low of 52. Delightful for August 1. I fully expect the triple “H”s back; enjoying this for now.
  16. 58 here, progged for 53 tomorrow night.
  17. I split the uprights out this way, had a :30 sun shower while mowing; which incidentally is incredibly thick for the end of July. Some decent wind now behind the front. Open window time!
  18. The WU, point and click narrative contains the phrase “near record high temperatures”, however the projected high for MMU is 91; the record is 101. Odd bit of programming to have that phrase included. in any event, next week looks incredible.
  19. Had some thunder and a passing shower. Interesting radar presentation, storms moved southeast and then seemed to pivot due east right around MMU.
  20. Not sure why Forky is trolling. I thought 10 day maps are frowned upon in the winter? It’s hot, humid and annoying. It’s summer in NJ.
  21. I’m about to take a ride out to see if I can find any damage.
  22. That orange dot in the middle of the yellow on the rgem is precariously close to my area. If that hits I’m glad I live at 750’ asl.
