  1. Heaviest of the storm at the moment. Rivers running through my back yard.
  2. Beast of a storm coming, too bad it’s wet and not white for us. Up north is going to get pounded.
  3. Driving home today along 80 west the Passaic is already over its banks in Fairfield between Two Bridges and Horseneck Road. Would anticipate that 2-3” on top would put it back into major flood stage.
  4. 23 here, now I feel bad raking out old leaves from a few of the garden beds. Hopefully emerging plants won’t burn too much.
  5. Snowed here. Dusting on cars/grass/patio furniture. That’s 3 nights in a row.
  6. Snow flurries here, 30. Evidence of sleet on the porch roof.
  7. Elevation dependent snow showers before. Came home tonight to find the truck, yard and roof caked in white.
  8. That had some decent gusts with it. Many limbs down in the area. So far, power has held up.
  9. Moderate sleet out this way.
  10. Tremendous gathering of robins in the brush at my property. They are looking at the snow cover and wondering… I love winter and prolonged snow cover, but the influx of robins are usually a harbinger that spring is upon us.
  11. 24/11 with some light wind. Cold.
  12. Squalls missing to my southwest. Looks like winter out there.
  13. Happy for those to our south. The brick call north of 78 held that fronto forcing in place. On second glance it looks like 2” here; one final burst coming from our northwest. Everything caked in white and perfect to wake up to.
  14. 28/16 in Chester, NJ. Clouds have moved in, the moon has a faint look to it.
  15. 36/10 with full sun. Should be in line for 2-4” tonight; make the pack hold a little while longer.
  16. Getting that last band good right now; have to be close to the one foot threshold. Once my conference call ends I will get out and measure to confirm.
  17. Closing in on 10”; one last line coming through my area. Great storm.
  18. Fortunate to be in the band, hopefully it fills in for those missing out. Eyeballing 9” with it still ripping.
  19. I measured 7” at 8:45. It’s a heavy snow, no ice crust at the base however. In any event, absolutely dumping out here in southwest Morris County. Looks like a nice band about to set up shop; double digits are within reach.
  20. 29 degrees here, fine flakes. Eyeballing 5.5” on the ground. Thinking 8-10” easy will be reached in this part of Morris County. Best storm in 2 years; it was needed!
  21. @RevWarReenactorthey have 4-5” on the ground, now. Meaning compared to the model runs as of yesterday, that cut the projected totals to “1-2”, they’ve already tripled up.
  22. My brother texted to say he just measured 5.25” on the ground in Franklin, NJ (Sussex). He had 1” at 3:30 a.m. when he let the dog out. Rippage.
  23. Those reports of 4-5” otg, north of my location, are awesome, considering the modeled cut-back that was going on yesterday. Moderate snow down here in Chester, everything covered. Bring it on. Edit: town plows are out, just made a pass by the homestead.
