Right now most of it looks on track to stay just to our east, but it's gonna be close. Maybe some of the stuff developing in Burlington county can get us.
-
Models showing just isolated to widely scattered activity. When it's not a washout I don't usually cancel plans, even though it's not a guarantee that it's gonna be dry. Keep an eye to the sky or radar.
-
Yep low dewpoints probably come back next friday.
-
Yeah looks as if the activity tomorrow will be isolated. Enjoy the game!
-
Latest HRRR has the storms popping up right over our area, but HRRR and the other models aren't showing a lot of activity for today. Very isolated, but there will be a few areas that get lucky with strong storms. Hoping to see something here.

95 with a dewpoint of 68 here right now. Dewpoints have mostly been in the mid-upper 60s during the heat here the last few days. Humid but not downright oppressive.
-
And most of the long range heat didn't materialize this summer. The 1 heat wave we had in July underperformed. Funny that he's bragging about 1 heat event finally working out this summer.
-
Yeah the strength of the sun makes a difference.
-
Sorry to hear that, but I'm glad you do your best to stay active during this type of weather. It'll be good to get some cooler weather in here for you next week.
-
I completely agree. Dewpoint of 66 certainly isn't low humidity. I consider that the high end of moderate, but that's much better than oppressive dewpoints in the 70s. I was just outside watering the vegetable garden and it didn't feel too bad.
-
Up to 94 here now. Dewpoint is 66.
-
Yep. We knew dews would be higher along the coast and lower inland today.
-
93 degrees here. The dewpoint is down to 66. Humidity is dropping a little this afternoon as I expected. Hot but at least it isn't oppressive out there.
-
Yep very true. It's looking like a humid weekend with scattered showers/storms.
-
The dewpoint is 69 here right now, and I think they'll actually drop a little for our area this afternoon. Might get down to the mid 60s. But of course they'll be higher later in the week.
-
92 was my high temp as well. Dewpoint stayed at 69 here all afternoon. Didn't feel bad at all.

92 with a dewpoint of 69 here right now.

Yeah some people thought the whole first half of September was gonna be hot, but now it appears that won't be the case. We cool off next weekend and it looks as if we'll being going back to high temps in the 70s during the 2nd week of the month. Still going to be an impressive hot stretch today through friday though.
-
77 degrees with a dewpoint of 45 and not a cloud in the sky. Spectacular ... a top 10 day of the year.
-
Dewpoint is down to 49 here. It'll probably get down to 45 later in the afternoon. Deep blue sky. A spectacular way to end what has been a comfortable August.
-
Yeah I'd be surprised if we saw upper 90s. To me it looks more like low to mid 90s. Wouldn't be surprised to see warm spots like Newark hit 94-95. And as SnoSki said, dewpoints will be in the 60s instead of the 70s during the heat so it won't feel oppressive. This is happening too late in the season to be an extreme event, but obviously it's going to be way above normal temps for early September. We're due for it after not having any real heat all of August. I enjoyed the lack of major heat and all the rain/storms this summer, but I could go for a much warmer than normal and dry first half of September. Bring on extended summer.
-
And dewpoints down into the 40s for thursday and friday. Even saturday will still have low humidity with dewpoints in the 50s Spectacular weather for a few days before the heat comes in. We're certainly due for some heat after not having any real heat all of August.
-
Yeah I know we don't really need it right now since we've had a very wet last 2 months, but I'll take one more since it appears we're going into a long dry pattern after wednesday morning.
-
12z run of RGEM not as impressed and gives most of the area a quarter to half inch, but 3km NAM gives a lot of the area heavy rain. Hopefully we can get a good soaking tuesday night into wednesday morning, since it's looking like our last chance of rain for a long time.
-
Looks as if dewpoints could get down to the high 40s thursday and friday. A fall preview before we go into the much warmer pattern over the weekend.
