  1. Still looks like some very low humidity coming in though. I think dewpoints could get down to the 40s on thursday.
  2. Nice. I got 0.47" here this morning.
  3. I got 1.16" from this morning's batch of rain. Very nice soaking.
  4. Other models showing the heavier amounts to the north too. It's looking as if our area could be near the sharp cutoff. We could get just a quarter inch or 1 to 2 inches.
  5. 81 degrees with a dewpoint of 47 here. Doesn't get any better than this.
  6. 12z RGEM has a rainy friday.
  7. Dewpoint all the way down to 50. Enjoy this extremely low humidity today and tomorrow. More low humidity coming early next week as this comfortable August continues.
  8. 80 with a dewpoint of 53 here. Spectacular. Pretty much as nice as it gets during the summer. Another cool low humidity airmass like this coming in for tuesday and wednesday, and in the long range it appears another one will be coming in for the last several days of August. It looking likely that we're gonna end up with a cooler than normal August for a change.
  9. Yeah as I said yesterday, this is the best the grass has looked in August in a long time. Incredible how fast it's growing. What a difference from June when it was burning out.
  10. Yeah yesterday afternoon a small downpour looked pretty good on radar as it was approaching from the south, but it weakened just as it was hitting my area. It poured for about 1 minute and then some light rain for 5 minutes. I got only .07" out of that. Have a great weekend!
  11. Yep Allsnow got a lot of rain but we just missed it. Only .13 here. Like you said it's no big deal since we've had plenty of rain. Looking forward to the beautiful weekend with very low humidity. One rare hot day on monday, and then more beautiful low humidity weather with temps only in the low 80s tuesday through thursday. What an August we're having.
  12. Yeah I saw the isolated cells during the afternoon/evening yesterday. Missed me here but when I was looking at radar I saw that cell that went over your area.
  13. Nothing here last night. I did get a half inch tuesday night though.
  14. It's amazing that I'm cutting the lawn once a week this time of year. It's been a long time since I've seen grass grow like this during the heart of summer. It looks more like spring out there. I never would have imagined this in June when the grass was burnt out and we were heading into a drought. This was a spectacular turnaround.
  15. 80 degrees saturday and mid 80s sunday with dewpoints in the 50s both days. Spectacular weekend coming up.
  16. 0.53" here. A nice watering.
  17. I slept through it too, lol. I guess there wasn't any thunder to wake us up. Glad we got a good soaking though.
  18. I'm starting to wonder if we're gonna see any extreme heat this summer. It's getting late. And what a weekend we have coming up. A beautiful airmass comes in friday afternoon into saturday. Dewpoints could drop to the low 50s. Saturday looking like a top 10 day of the year with sunshine, low 80s and very low humidity. Even when it warms up on sunday, it's nothing impressive and humidity will only come up a little. Looks like the best weekend of the summer.
  19. That's exactly the amount I got too. As Allsnow said, this event ended up being a bust. Even areas to the north that got a significant amount of rain didn't get the huge amounts that Forky was talking about.
  20. I agree with you for our area. I just had a nice heavy downpour, but no lightning at all with it. From the way radar looks I think we could see a couple more downpours and maybe an inch or so of rain, but the really big amounts that would cause flooding are going to our north. So I'm going to bed now since it's not looking like anything spectacular for our area.
  21. Radar looks that way too, but it's going to be very close.
  22. New HRRR run shifted it slightly north. We're so close to the sharp cutoff here as you said earlier. We could get a ton of rain or we could get almost nothing. I'll be staying up in case we get crushed.
  23. Continues to look like a nice airmass coming in at the end of the week with dewpoints dropping to the 50s. Saturday looks like a spectacular day to start off the weekend with sunshine and low humidity. Then it heats up on sunday and we'll have to see what the magnitude of the heat is early next week, as WX/PT said.
  24. Same here. I saw thousands of them last year but none this year. Strange how they just disappeared from our area. I don't know if the extremely dry weather we had in May had something to do with that.
  25. Beautiful outside right now with the WNW wind and dewpoints down to the low 60s.
