Yeah I see those dark clouds to the north and hear the thunder. Just a few drops here as it misses me just a couple miles to the north.

0.31" here. Not bad considering we didn't even get a heavy downpour since the storm fell apart. Good period of moderate rain.

At least a good band of moderate rain formed behind the storms that fell apart, so we are getting that quarter inch here. Maybe as high as a third of an inch. Just enough to give the garden a decent watering.

Just had a rumble here, but only light to moderate rain. Very frustrating but we knew there was the threat of it falling apart. Might only get a tenth of an inch of rain out of this.

That line of storms looks good. We'll have to see how much it weakens as it moves into our area, but I'm pumped up! Finally it appears that we're going to see some heavy rain.

Keeping my fingers crossed that we get a much-needed heavy downpour tonight. It has been close to 2 weeks since we've had rain and the ground is bone dry. I'm tired of having to water the vegetable garden almost every day, so hopefully some help from mother nature tonight.

Dewpoints are in the low-mid 40s. To me upper 80s doesn't feel too bad with the very low humidity. It sucks that there's very little rain in sight though. I'll have to keep watering the vegetable garden almost every day.

I see the Euro now doesn't give us much rain on Sunday. This drought is just gonna get worse over the next couple weeks. I hope it turns around during the summer.

Yeah we really need the rain. I hope Sunday works out, even though it would be bad timing with the rain being on a weekend day. Before then a lot of watering will be needed this week.

Got down to 44 here this morning. Likely our coolest morning until the fall.

1.86" event total here. Obviously bad timing for the holiday weekend, but I'm glad we got it since we really needed the rain. And at least the rain moved out in time for me to cook on the grill outside late yesterday, but I brought the food inside because it was so cool and nasty out there. Later today will be much nicer for sitting outside since it will warm up into the 70s -- I'm glad we can salvage part of the holiday weekend.

Even for Sunday afternoon it appears that the rain will have moved to the east, something I talked about for days. Cloudy and cool but it should be ok to cook outside tomorrow. And Monday afternoon looks ok -- I don't know what Anthony is looking at if he thinks it's going to rain all day.

I'm glad we're going to get much-needed rain Saturday into Sunday morning. At least Monday doesn't look too bad. We'll have to see how long the rain lingers on Sunday -- some models move it out in time for late day and evening for people that want to cook outside. That's uncertain right now, but of course the one thing that is certain is Saturday is shot.

Nice pics. I didn't have any trees come down here. A lot of 40 to 50mph gusts here. Nice storm. I got 0.40" from the downpour with the storm, and now adding a little more with some moderate rain. Much-needed rain. With the rain coming on Saturday, I'm glad I'll finally be able to take a break from watering the vegetable garden for awhile.

Pouring and the gusty winds continue. A little thunder. Not severe but a good strong t-storm.

93 here right now. Really hoping for a heavy downpour today to help out this parched ground. I've been watering the vegetable garden every day during this heat, but I'm not watering today in hopes that we get some rain. If the t-storms miss here this evening, we should at least see some steady light rain tomorrow morning.

And it continues to appear that most of that rain will be Saturday and Saturday night into Sunday morning. The models still move the rain out for Sunday afternoon. Obviously it won't be beautiful with cloudy/cool weather, but there is hope that it will be dry for cookouts Sunday afternoon and evening.
