Only 51 degrees here right now with light rain. So nasty out there. 0.16" of rain for the day so far. Feels like late March today. I'm going outside shortly for a run, and I'm going to wear gloves lol.

Good luck with your crops. I planted my warm weather vegetables on May 2nd and they're doing great. Tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, zucchini and pole lima beans are all growing very quickly. I don't expect the cool rainy weather to have a negative impact on them. The cold weather vegetables that I planted in March are producing nicely. I've been picking a ton of lettuce the last few weeks and the broccoli is just about ready to be picked. Again good luck with your garden this year. You said you just planted and sometimes wait until June 1st. In my opinion that's a little bit of a late start. I always plant in the first few days of May and have never had a problem. Frost threats end in late April in our area. The earlier the start the better for the plants. I already have some small tomatoes on my plants now.

It sucks that we're going back to early April type of weather for Wednesday and Thursday. It's going to feel miserable with temps only in the low-mid 50s with the rain coming down. But thankfully the bad weather is going to get out of the way in time for the big holiday weekend. That's the most important thing.

Over now and yeah ended up with a little more than I was expecting -- 0.58" here. We certainly have had plenty of rain lately. I won't have to water the garden for awhile.
-
Very heavy for a short time here. Now back down to light rain. 0.45" here, and will add a little more. Another nice soaking.
-
Solid moderate rain here. We're probably gonna get somewhere between a quarter and half inch.
-
Hearing thunder to the west now. I know it's supposed to be falling apart as it hits here, but we should at least get a decent amount of rain.
-
1.96" here.
-
I'm surprised one hasn't been issued for Middlesex. I'm up to 1.85" and it's still pouring. We're getting training with these downpours.
-
Yep extremely heavy downpour here right now. Will probably end up with 1.50" to 2.00" for the day here.
-
0.65 so far here today after getting 0.36 yesterday. My area had missed out on the heavy rains this month, so this is a much-needed soaking. I'm glad this event is not disappointing.
-
Actually got 0.25" here this afternoon. Not bad. I didn't think we'd get that much this early.
-
And then hopefully a good soaking tomorrow morning. Our area still has only gotten about an inch of rain this month, so we could use some more. HRRR and most other models give us at least .75" from this event tonight into tomorrow.
-
I got 0.26" here. This after getting only 0.75" from that Thursday through Sunday wet period. My area keeps missing out on the big rain totals, but at least it has been enough to water the vegetable garden over the last week. My tomatoes are growing very quickly.

OBS for OKX Flood Watch (attached) into early Saturday 5/10/25

Hopefully. HRRR says we're gonna get some more rain from that batch. -

Only 0.16" here this morning after missing yesterday's storms. Hoping to get some more rain this afternoon. The stuff in PA should swing through here. -
12 Euro an inch to an inch and a half for a lot of the area. Some other models are in the half inch to inch range. This event still looks like a half inch to inch for most of the area, with some spots maybe getting as much as an inch and a half.
-
Wow 0.26, talk about unlucky. I'm not thrilled with my 0.75, but I would have been very irritated had I gotten only a quarter inch.
-
Yeah it's more likely that the storms will stay to the north and west this afternoon, but there's a slight chance we could get lucky.
-
Up to 0.75" for the entire event here. Our area hasn't done great, but at least it has been enough to give everything a much-needed watering. Hopefully we'll get lucky this afternoon.
-
Had a decent downpour that got us to 0.15" for the day here. 0.55" for the event so far, which is pretty disappointing. Hopefully we'll get lucky with a t-storm tomorrow afternoon. If not, the advertised big soaking 4 day period is going end up a big disappointment. Definitely a big bust for the Euro model which showed ridiculously high amounts for days.
-
Getting some moderate rain here now. Decent downpour moving in.
-
0.12" here today. 0.40" for the weekend. Not too bad, but hopefully a much bigger soaking tomorrow into Tuesday.
-
The downpour I got last night was the first decent rainfall I got in the last couple weeks, so I had to do a lot of watering. I can't imagine how bad my lettuce plants would have looked had I not watered a lot. I agree that normal rainfall is just fine, but it's very annoying when we get long dry periods. The drought last fall was terrible.

As other gardeners here have pointed out, it's amazing how much more quickly plants grow after a good rainfall than they do after our own watering.
