    It's early here, but can see some red and orange starting to pop in the hill behind my house, so we will see how the Sugar Maples end up.

    Got to give to Kevin, he shuts down the resorts every winter and has every Maple going from green right to brown every fall. He definitely stays on brand pretty consistently.

    If its a smaller area, spring seeding can work. It becomes more difficult if the area is bigger, you pretty much have to water all summer long to make sure it survives--unless we get a repeat of this years monsoon I would go now, or next fall--again if its the whole lawn or a bigger area.

    Guess that's it. Reading the local community forum stuff, seems like a war zone out there, trees and wires down all over. We had another nasty cell come through with same strength winds, etc 2 within 2 hours, honestly the strongest I have seen living here. Long time residents posting similar stuff.

    Best storm in prob couple seasons rolled through around 730. Some trees down nearby and decent size hail and white out rain with big winds. Just insane amounts of TL like you said.

    Haha..yea nice being in your 20s for sure for many reasons. I can promise you it wasn't 60F most years. I wouldn't be in that without a suit even at 23. I am seeing a bunch of reports of 68-70F near that area. https://www.worldbeachguide.com/usa/surf/tourmaline.htm Well known longboard surf spot, remember being here many times without a suit. 69F now.

    Lived in Pacific Beach for almost a decade, that seems alot cooler than normal for August,I would swim and body surf all time with no suit, Aug and Sept I feel like were the warmest from my memory.

    If your whole lawn looks like that, I don't know if it needs an overseed. I would just hit it with fertilizer. That looks pretty dense, but pics can be deceiving sometimes.

    Kept the house 66-72F 24/7 through July. Colder the better, sorry get an extra blanket kids..lol

    I certainly approve of this break in the dewy pattern, but it's not exactly ideal for water activities. My wife just sent me a video of my kids in the Adirondacks tubing with sweatshirts on...

    That's gone almost for sure. Even 1" can be too much. Believe it or not .25-.50" is ideal. Obviously factors like soil composition, rainfall rate, etc matter too.

    Crazy amount of water coming down the hillsides in the Eastern Adirondacks last night. Wish I knew what the amounts are on radarscope storm accum estimate scale. Feels like 3-6" by duration and intensity in about 2 hours. Multiple culverts and parts of roads washed out where we are. Stuck for now until they get filled in.

    Guess I have been lucky so far with "only" 2.63" the last 24 hours. That is a serious slug of moisture coming for that same Londonderry, Weston, Ludlow, Killington area.

    Yea-heavily installed now. Running constantly last few days--nice and comfortable. I guess there is a perspective of tolerable vs comfortable for those uninstalled. I could tolerate it maybe if I absolutely had to, but I don't have to and would much rather just be comfortable.

    Had 1.02" today. Had .65" the other day, so similar. Some decent TL, but no wind. Lawn still struggling interestingly even with some recent rains.

    My yard was overrun with munks the first couple years here....literally everywhere. Got an absolute killing machine of an outdoor cat 2 years ago--don't see them really outside of the woods very much now, except for the sporadic carcasses in the yard..lol. My cat nabs an occasional grey squirrel too, brought a full one inside just last week right into the kitchen

    How the heck are u that green? Lawns are pretty torched here and absolutely fried in Albany. Guess I haven't paid attention to rainfall..thought everyone was pretty dry.
