  1. All subject to change at this range, but for now the GEFS, and the GEPS, are suggesting we may actually see seasonable temps the week of thanksgiving.
  2. Closest we get to anything decent in the NA over the next 15 days is this period, and that is more of a Scandinavian ridge, not a -NAO. It's a better look than we have now though. It would likely give us normal to maybe slightly below temps, and that would probably continue into Thanksgiving at least. Looks dry too.
  3. Just a WAG, but based on the current climate models. extended GEFS(and I will throw in the most recent 2 Nina winters), Jan may be our best shot at some legit cold chances with a possibility to time something. Given the SPV state and the QBO trend, hard to be enthused about any real help in the AO/NAO regions, beyond some transient ridging passing through the NAO domain that probably won't help at all. CFS has been consistent with a -EPO for at least part of Jan, and that may be our best opportunity for some decent cold air delivery at this point.
  4. 66 here after a high of 73. Forecast is for 2-3"of rain here Wed-Thurs. Oh joy.
  5. Drinking a Baltimore Brewery Team DIPA from Oliver. Fantastic.
  6. Probably wont actually feel like November until January.
  7. What's with all the killer ladybugs? Those suckers bite.
  8. This string of mid 70s days has worn out its welcome. At least get back closer to average. Been foggy here every morning under this massive upper ridge.
  9. This game shouldn't have even been close. I mean, isn't this the fourth string QB? Steelers are hardly a dominant team.
  10. I will say this, the vaunted D of the Steelers looks a little soft. Ravens ran for 265 last week.
  11. Can the Cowboys actually....nah.
  12. True but penalties and turnovers are killers, and the offense has been sputtery all season. The second half today finally resembled last season's offense. Scrappy effort from the D considering Marlon not being available and 6 players not practicing at all this week. Hope Campbell's injury isn't serious. He has been a beast up front.
  13. Maybe they did. Lets see if the D can do their thing now.
  14. That was my analysis, but apparently there was a minor rule change regarding possession on a play like that.
  15. WOW. Didn't see that coming. Was about to kill Harbaugh for throwing the red flag.
  16. They finally get a nice drive, and a turn it over going in. What a funk. That's another thing that has plagued this offense in recent weeks- turnovers and penalties.
  17. What made the Ravens offense go last year was a truly dominant OL. This year they are not even mediocre, and are awful on the interior. Christ the center cant even get the ball to Jackson cleanly today. Jackson is not Mahomes- unless the OL play improves, they will struggle to beat the teams that are dominant on the D line. Pretty surprised they didn't make more moves at the deadline to get another legit weapon in the passing game, although that may not have helped much given the issues they are having. And Roman's complete lack of creativity doesn't help either.
  18. Ravens offense better 'find themselves' in this game, with the defense short handed today. Otherwise it could get pretty ugly. That fumble return for a TD saved them temporarily, but the Colts are doing whatever they want.
  19. The easterly phase of the QBO favors strat warming/weakening of the SPV, and currently it is in the westerly phase, and moving more positive. Unless the SPV couples down to the surface though(disaster), the focus really should be on the TPV, which is broader and more directly influences sensible weather. I still think our best bet for a period of cold air delivery into the east lies with blocking in the EPO domain, like the current CFS runs are suggesting for Jan. If it happens it probably won't last that long, but a 2-3 week period of a mini version of 2013-14 might be our best hope. I will expect a predominant +AO/NAO until I see otherwise in real time.
  20. Love good guitar bands too. This is my fave song from Boston,. Great acoustic intro, and one of the greatest guitar outros of all time IMO.
  21. I enjoy all that stuff, plus Soundgarden, Pearl Jam etc. as well as the newer alt rock bands. Still love me some SOAD too. Nu Metal!
