  1. Looks like the snow is sticking fine. Just needs to come down harder. Those sideline heaters are impressive though.
  2. The cold is not a factor at all.
  3. We need some legit aggregates here, not this pixie dust. Mahomes will throw right through this stuff.
  4. Radar looks pretty meh in Denver currently. Looks like things should pick up during the second half.
  5. Nice try, Titans. Big game at home for the Ravens next week. They need to play a clean, crisp game for once.
  6. It did seem so easy. It was like the inverse of what we typically see. Temps would start off marginal than get colder as the snow fell. (-AO/NAO) The exception was the late Jan cold powder moderate event with temps in the mid teens. I loved that one, as it ended the "snow drought" and we could see the potential in the LR for what was to come in Feb. That was one winter where "we"(relatively speaking) actually worked. lol.
  7. Yes they are. I would have gone for the field goal there, but it worked out.
  8. Underscores the importance of a sustained -AO/NAO in setting us up for the perfect storm track, with easy access to fresh cold air. The rest was due to the pronounced STJ, courtesy of the moderate Nino. Memories...
  9. 0.55" 47 F Raw, damp day. Nice to see that upper ridge building back already. 70 tomorrow!
  10. Titans are getting killed. I thought this would be a battle.
  11. Yup. It was rare and perfect. Sure it was a slushy, foggy mess by Xmas day and it rained, but that's how we roll here.
  12. They truly are, and it's glorious to see. That being said, the WTF is more than capable of blowing this one.
  13. Hard to beat the December 2009 storm for me. December is mostly a Fall month around here, and we rarely see a KU event before Xmas.
  14. Damn Steelers. They look good. Ravens might want to make another trade or 2 before next week. They need to do something at RG. Steelers will devour that OL in its current state.
  15. We always talk about the importance of HL blocking, but many times it is not sustained. In 2009-10 it was pretty much wall to wall, legit -AO/NAO for the entire winter (see my display pic). That sets us up so we don't have to thread the needle. Ofc it was also a Modoki Nino. We get that combo and its hard not to see a few big winter storms.
  16. Cool shot. I was last there right before Xmas. Not at night though. Was a super cold, windy day(we didn't have many last winter). See any ghosts?
  17. It's good. I like how the color of the label perfectly matches the beer lol.
  18. Dreary day. Ravens are on a bye. Getting ready for a relaxing day of NFL football watching.
  19. Eh to some extent. Mahomes isn't everyone though lol. I think he threw for over 300 in that snow game in KC last season against Denver and they won by 20 or something.
  20. 0.40" here so far. Just some very light rain/drizzle currently.
  21. Not a dumb question, and there does seem to be something to the 'drought begets drought' idea. It's possible soil conditions play into it, but imo it's much more likely a function of the general pattern. The mechanisms for large scale ascent and moisture advection should largely overcome antecedent soil conditions.
